On the day of the Electronics Engineering (ECE) or Electronics Technician (ECT) Board Exam, it is important to bring the necessary documents and materials to ensure a smooth and hassle-free examination experience. Here are the things that you need to bring:

  • Notice of Admission (NOA ) – This document contains your personal information, examination date, time, and venue. Make sure to print a copy of your NOA and bring it on the day of the exam.
  • Application Stub – This is a small portion of your application form that contains your name and application number. Make sure to bring this as it will be used for identification purposes.
  • Valid ID – Bring a government-issued ID with your name, photo, and signature. Acceptable IDs include passport, driver’s license, PRC ID, and voter’s ID, among others. Note that school ID and company ID are not accepted.
  • Black Ballpen – Use black ballpen in filling out the answer sheets. It is advisable to bring two or more ballpens in case one runs out of ink.
  • Snacks & Water – You are allowed to bring snacks and water as long as they are in clear plastic containers. Eating inside the examination room is not allowed but you can consume your snacks during the breaks.
  • Other Materials – For ECE Board Exam, you are also allowed to bring a non-programmable calculator and a piece of cardboard or similar material to be used as a ruler. For ECT Board Exam, you are allowed to bring a non-programmable calculator.

Note that bringing prohibited items such as electronic gadgets, books, and notes is strictly prohibited. Make sure to read and understand the instructions in your NOA and follow them accordingly.

  • Comfortable clothes – Wear comfortable clothes that are not too tight or too loose. Choose clothes that allow you to move freely and sit comfortably for several hours.
  • Light-colored clothes – It is advisable to wear light-colored clothes as they reflect heat and help keep you cool during the exam. Avoid wearing dark colors as they tend to absorb heat and make you feel uncomfortable.
  • Closed-toe shoes – Wear closed-toe shoes that are comfortable and easy to walk in. Avoid wearing sandals or flip flops as they are not allowed inside the examination room.
  • Simple accessories – Keep your accessories simple and minimal. Avoid wearing large and distracting accessories that may draw attention and disturb other examinees.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many aspects of our lives, including the administration of board exams such as the Electronics Engineering (ECE) and Electronics Technician (ECT) Board Exam. Here are some things to know about the board exams during the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • Health and Safety Protocols – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has implemented health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the board exams. This includes mandatory wearing of face masks and face shields, physical distancing, and frequent sanitation of examination rooms and facilities.
  • Limited Capacity – The PRC has limited the capacity of examination rooms to ensure physical distancing. This means that fewer examinees are accommodated per room, which may affect the number of testing centers and schedules.
  • Online Application and Registration – The PRC has implemented online application and registration for the board exams to minimize physical contact and crowding in PRC offices. This allows examinees to apply and register online and pay fees through various online payment channels.
  • Rescheduling of Exams – In case of a surge in COVID-19 cases or other unforeseen circumstances, the PRC may reschedule the board exams to a later date. This is to ensure the safety of examinees and personnel involved in the board exams.
  • Result Release – The PRC may also delay the release of board exam results due to the challenges brought by the pandemic. However, they will provide regular updates to the public regarding the status of the board exams.

It is important for examinees to keep themselves informed and updated regarding the guidelines and protocols set by the PRC for the board exams during the COVID-19 pandemic. Follow the instructions and protocols carefully to ensure your safety and the safety of others.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC ) sets the schedule for the Electronics Engineering (ECE) Licensure Exam twice a year, typically in April and October. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule may be subject to change. The next scheduled ECE Licensure Exam is on April 3-4, 2022. The deadline for filing of application is on February 14, 2022, but the PRC may adjust this deadline depending on the situation.

It is important to regularly check the official website of the PRC for any updates and announcements regarding the ECE Licensure Exam schedule. Additionally, the PRC may also release the schedule through news outlets and social media platforms. Note that the ECE Licensure Exam schedule may vary depending on the situation and the discretion of the PRC. It is advisable to stay informed and updated to avoid missing any important deadlines or changes in the schedule.

You can check the Electronics Engineering (ECE) Licensure Exam results online through the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) website. Here are the steps to follow:

Sloane, Wendy (2024) Book review : Assignment Moscow: reporting on Russia from Lenin to Putin (James Rodgers, 2023). Journal of Applied Journalism and Media Studies. pp. 1-3. ISSN 2001-0818

Assignment Moscow: reporting on Russia from Putin to Lenin (2023) by James Rodgers provides a highly readable, chronological history of western journalistic reporting on Russia, beginning with the 1917 October Revolution and recently updated – in the newest edition – to the present day. Interspersed with personal anecdotes, interviews with journalists, archival material, and a smattering of photographs (some of which are the author’s own), it documents not only the working conditions of the largely intrepid but sometimes incredibly naive journalists who have reported from Moscow and beyond but also their motivations for doing so – and the political intrigue that surrounded them.
