Essay On My Family For Class 2 Kids

Key Points to Remember When Writing An Essay About My Family For Class 2

10-line essay on my family for class 2 kids, short essay on my family for class 2 kids, long essay on my family for class 2, what will your second grader learn from the essay.

Writing essays is an important skill in expression that children need to develop. The ‘describe your family’ essay is a topic that can help your child understand the style better, as it is about a topic they know and love. It would also help children develop an understanding of the concept of family and the type of relationships in it. Here, we look at an essay on My Family for Grade 2. Going through the examples in this article can help them get ideas for their own essay on the subject.

Keep these things in mind when you write an essay about your family:

  • Keep the essay simple since any complexity can cut the flow of ideas.
  • Write everything that comes to your mind. The essay can be filtered and polished later on.
  • Once you have noted down enough ideas to support the necessary length, think about elaborating and decorating, if necessary.
  • Write in simple English and try to use short sentences.
  • Avoid deviating from the topic. It happens to all writers, so make sure to keep it within the family!

Sentences should be concise, and you should convey the idea in one or two sentences and not carry it to the next line. Here’s how you can write the essay in just 10 lines:

  • A family is a unit of related people who live together, and their relationship is by birth or blood.
  • I live in a big combined family with my parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts. My cousins also live in the same building.
  • My father is a businessman who often travels abroad to run his company. My mother is a housewife and takes care of all of us.
  • My grandfather is a retired government employee who worked for the railways. He always has amazing stories about his experiences from his days working on trains.
  • My uncle is a police officer, and he helps people in need and catches bad guys.
  • The school that I go to is close to my house. My mom sometimes walks with me to school, and my uncle sometimes drops me off in the morning.
  • Everyone in our community likes my family. We often have guests from the neighbourhood who come to talk to my grandpa.
  • I am an only child, and sometimes I wish I had a brother or sister, like my cousins do.
  • My family celebrates festivals with other families in the community. We always have fun during Holi and Diwali.
  • My mother is a smart woman. She knows all about my subjects in school and helps me out with homework.

A short essay is a little more difficult than writing a short paragraph on my family. Unlike the one-line essays above, short essays require the flow to be maintained, from one sentence to the other.

My family is very important to me and precious. We’re a joint family, so my parents, my grandparents, and me live together. The time I spend with my grandparents is very special, and I adore spending time with them, especially my grandfather, who always has great stories about his youth and stories from the epics. We often spend time sitting on the balcony talking. After playtime with my dog Tommy, he teaches me math and science in the evening.

My father, who is quite tall, is a businessman, and my mother is a homemaker. I love my parents deeply, and they love me. We all eat dinner together and watch TV afterward. My grandmother loves to tell me stories before bedtime, and I love her moral stories with animals and people. My grandmother is also an outstanding cook because nobody can cook food as delicious as she can. On weekends we go out to the movies and the mall. My grandparents don’t always accompany us to the mall, but it is always fun when they do. My family is supportive, and I always strive to do my best to make them proud.

Writing a long essay requires some practice to maintain context and clarity. Move from one topic to the other slowly and add good quality information. You can start writing everything that comes to your mind and then arrange the points to give it a good flow.

I love my family more than anything in this world. Strong families are an important unit of society since children learn about their culture, tradition, and social values from their elders. So, I believe that good families form the backbone of great societies. At an individual level, families teach good behavior and habits, which we will remember for the rest of our lives.

I feel that I am very fortunate to have been born in a family that is well respected in my society and community. I come from a middle-class family with six members. Our family consists of my parents, grandparents, younger sister, and myself. My parents are polite people, and we follow the directions of our grandparents in important matters. My grandparents have lived longer than all of us and have gained enough life experience and wisdom to lead the family.

My grandfather is a retired army man. He has served our country and is respected by everyone in the community. He has strong values, which he says are important for the growth and development of both the family and the country. My grandfather always talks about bravery and being forthright in all aspects of life. He also has a gentle and nurturing side that makes him a very pleasant person. And just like him, my grandmother is an equally strong woman who raised all my uncles and aunts during years of hardships and uncertainty. She is also a hardworking and caring woman who tells me good stories before bedtime.

My father works in a bank – he is an important man who handles the finances of important people. My mother is a homemaker and enjoys taking care of us all. She always talks about the importance of hard work and honesty. My sister is still a baby, and I love playing with her. My family is very loving and a source of motivation for me. My family is always there for me when I need love, care, and comfort.

This essay for grade 2 contains essential information that your child can use to write an essay themselves. It talks about the importance of family and helps them understand the different roles each member of the family plays. My family composition for class 2 also highlights important points to write in the essay. After reading the essay, your child will be able to easily handle the question on a test or in an assignment.

‘My family’ is a common topic for lower-grade students. The ease with which children can write this topic will make them enjoy essay writing. Children will learn how to write short and long-form essays, which will help build their writing skills.

Long Essay on My Family 500 Words for Kids and Students in English

If you visit my house, you have to be properly dressed. You cannot sit in our drawing room with legs crossed. It is against etiquette. My grandmother is very soft-spoken and gentle. She prepares breakfast and helps us to get ready. Although past sixty, she is very active and hardworking. She takes adequate care of our home and helps in keeping it neat, clean and shining.

My father works as an accountant in a private firm. He sleeps with a calculator in his pocket. He maintains an account book for the whole family. He can never go to sleep unless he prepares a balance sheet. When we are busy watching TV programs, he can be seen taking everyone to task for not giving a proper account of daily expenses. When my grandmother brings costly fruit, it is balanced by simple meals the next day.

My mother is the finest lady in the world. She does not interfere with anything. She works as a receptionist in a private firm. She has to get up very early in the morning. She is always smiling. When she returns home, the smile returns to everyone’s face. My elder brother is a student of the senior secondary class. He is a very serious student and does not take part in games or other extra-curricular activities which is bad because sports are equally important. His mind is always engrossed in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.

My Family Essay

I am the youngest in the family. Although I am a student of Class X, the whole family treats me as a little child. No one calls me by my proper name. I am ‘baba’ for all of them. In fact, it gets quite embarassing, when my parents call me ‘baba’ in the presence of my friends. My friends have also started calling me by this nick¬name. There is no solution to this problem because I cannot swap my status with anyone in the family.

Ours is a very happy family and I wish that it remains so forever.

Essay: My Happy Family (500 Words)

' src=

The idiom “Small family happy family” is one that we have all heard. This phrase reflects that even a small family has bigger benefits than the big one. But, whether the family is big or small, it is the most valuable asset in everyone’s life. A family is what gives us the strength to deal with every kind of situation.

I am so lucky to say that I have a wonderful family. My family is a happy family and I love them very much. My family consists of my father, mother, younger brother, younger sister, and grandparents. We are very close to each other.

My father is a businessman. He works really hard to take care of us. On the other hand, my mother and grandmother are housewives. My grandfather is a retired government servant. My siblings are studying in their junior school.

My grandmother used to tell us stories daily and I really enjoy them. I and my siblings enjoy and have fun together. We often fight over silly things but they are the reason to smile. We adore each other a lot. We too have a pet dog whose name is Bruno. He is very obedient and always follows our commands.

My family always motivates me to move further in life. They are a great inspiration for me. The moral values instilled in me are only because of them. The traits and values I gained from my family have helped me to mold my life in a positive way. We are a happy family and we always share time with each other. Everyone eats dinner together and we laugh and talk together. We always care for each other. We always go for holidays every year at the time of vacation.

In today’s world, where we see family members fighting and separating, I am fortunate that my family is not like that. We share a close bond with one another. Whatever the problem comes, we face them together. The most special thing about our family is that we never hesitate to talk or share anything. In my family, each and every member is valued and listened to.

I thank God that he gifted me with such an amazing and precious family. Even though my family members may disagree and fight frequently about petty things, they always stand with us through our highs and lows. My family does not have a lot of money or fortune, but what we do have is an abundance of love for one another that is unmatched by anything in this world.

My family consists of six family members that include my father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, brother and me. We all live together in a flat that forms a part of a beautiful society located in Noida. Ours is a close knit family and that is what I love the most about it. The credit of keeping the family together and maintaining a strong bond certainly goes to my grandparents who have given such good values to us that we understand the meaning and power of living harmoniously with each other.

We make it a point to have our dinner together every day as we believe, “A family that dines together stay together”. During the afternoon hours, I and my brother have lunch with our grandparents as our parents go for work. My grandmother has been taking care of us during the day time ever since I was born as my mother is working and comes home in the evening.

While I love all my family members, I share a very close bond with my grandmother. She inspires me to be a better human being. One of the best things about her is that she manages her time extremely well and motivates us to do so too. It is because of her that I and my brother are so disciplined and good in studies as well as extra-curricular activities. I am blessed to have such a loving and caring family.

Essay on Why I Love My Family – Essay 2 (300 words)

Introduction

I love my family and can’t imagine my life without them. It is natural to love one’s family. We grow up with our parents taking care of our needs, our grandparents loving us endlessly and our siblings being partners in crime in whatever we do and hence we are bound to form a deep bond with them.

Why I Love My Family

I live with my parents and two younger sisters. My father runs a successful business and my mother is a wonderful homemaker. She looks after all our needs all day long and loves us immeasurably. She is always there for us.

Whether it is helping us in studies, cooking delicious food for us or teaching us art and craft – my mother is involved in all these activities only to nurture us in the best possible way. My father on the other hand works tirelessly to ensure we get a good lifestyle. He also makes sure that he takes us out on the weekends to spend quality time with us.

I and my sisters have a lot of fun together. We go to the same school and have a number of common friends. While we three love each others’ company and play together, we do call some of our friends home every once in a while and it becomes all the more fun.

During our summer vacations, we visit our grandparents’ house which is located in a beautiful village in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It is a big house with a front lawn filled with various trees and plants. I and my sisters eagerly wait for this time of the year. We love our stay at our grandparents’ place. I especially love playing in the front yard filled with numerous fruits and flowers.

Growing up surrounded by such loving and affectionate family is like a dream. I love them all because of their loving and caring nature.

Essay on I Love All of My Family Members – Essay 3 (400 words)

I love my each family member because they all are precious to me. They love and care me a lot and never let me go anywhere alone. They always remain with me in my all ups and downs. They teach me morals, etiquettes, values and importance of relationships in human life. They are strong supporter, ideal and role model of my life.

I Love All of My Family Members

I live with my grandparents, parents, my sister and a cousin. My cousin has been staying with us since the last three years as his parents have shifted abroad. Initially, their plan was to come back after two years and they did not want to change his school as there is a drastic difference between the study patterns of the two countries.

This is the reason why my cousin came to stay with us. However, their plan has extended and so has our cousin’s stay at our place. He has now become an integral part of our family. I love all my family members. Here is what I love about each of them:

My Grandmother

My grandmother cooks delicious food and makes sure we are fed with healthy and scrumptious food each day. Besides her food, I also love the bed time stories she narrates to us. Me and my sister and cousin cuddle around her every night to listen to her stories.

My Grandfather

My grandfather is a highly learned person. He helps me with my studies. He teaches me mathematics and English. I especially enjoy the morning walks with my grandfather. He shares his life experiences during these long walks and I just love listening to them.

My mother keeps the entire house neat and clean. She organizes everything so well that we don’t have to waste our time looking for things. She also shops for us and takes us out to park and malls. She loves us dearly and takes care of all our needs.

My father works very hard to ensure we live comfortably. He spends time playing with us on the weekends and at times also during the evening hours. I really look forward to our weekend outings with him.

I am closest to my sister. We are like best friends. We share everything and keep each other’s secrets. We laugh, play and study together. We help and support each other during the good as well as the bad times.

My cousin is very disciplined and hard working. He also has a good sense of humour. He is three years elder to me. He helps me in my studies especially in mathematics. Our house has become livelier ever since he has come to stay with us.

Our home is filled with love and laughter. Our parents and grandparents have taught us to share and care and live cordially with everyone. This is a great life lesson and I am sure it will help me do well personally as well as professionally as I grow.

Essay on I Love My Family because – It is My Support System – Essay 4 (500 words)

My family consists of me, my father and my mother. I am their only child and am extremely loved and pampered. I love my family and am thankful to them for helping and supporting me in whatever I do. Every child has certain dreams and aspirations. However, not everyone is lucky to get the support of his/ her family to attain them. I am one of those few lucky ones who have got complete support from my family in this regard.

My Parents Supported Me to Follow My Passion

I have always been a great fan of Madhuri Dixit although she is from an era when I was not even born. I grew fond of her when I saw her performance in the movie, Aaja Nachle. I became a huge fan of her dance moves. It was then that I searched for all her songs online and watched her dance. I tried to copy her dance moves but could not. She inspired me to dance and I immediately knew that this is my calling in life.

I was in sixth standard at that time and I spoke to my mother about my newly found passion. I also told her that I wanted to learn dance from a professional dance school. I had joined drawing and swimming classes during my primary classes. However, since I had been promoted to sixth standard and had to take tuitions for mathematics and physics I had no time left for such hobby classes, so I withdrawn from these classes.

My parents wanted me to concentrate on my studies as this was the time to build a strong base. However, my mother agreed to enroll me at a professional dance school looking at my keen interest in it. I promised her that I will study dedicatedly and wouldn’t let this hamper my performance in school. My father also supported in my decision.

My Family Made Me a Confident Person

It has been 4 years now and I have been continuing with my dance classes. I am now in class tenth and have my boards this year. My parents suggested me to discontinue the dance class this year however they did not insist and asked me to take the decision on my own. This is what I love the most about my family. Nothing is forced upon me. They treat me like a mature person and this has actually made me wiser and mature.

It has enhanced my decision making ability. Slowly and steadily, I have developed the ability to analyze what is good for me and take decisions based on it. This has boosted my confidence and helped me so far and will certainly help me in future. This has only been possible because of the love and support of my parents. If they had objected to my decision, I would not have evolved so well in various aspects in life. Dance has given meaning to my life.

I love my family for standing by my side, loving me unconditionally and being my support system. I am lucky to have such a loving and understanding family.

Long Essay on I Love My Family – Essay 5 (600 words)

I live in a joint family. There are ten members in our family including me, my brother, mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, uncle, aunt and two cousins. We all bond well with each other. We help and support one another during all times. In today’s times, when most people live in nuclear families and hesitate meeting their extended family members due to various reasons, I am proud I come from a family that lives together in harmony with each other.

My Cordial Family Members

Ever since I was born, I have seen my family members living cordially with each other. Unlike other joint families where there are frequents quarrels and arguments, my family members do not indulge in any such thing. They are all happy in their own space. They have their duties and responsibilities well defined and work accordingly without questioning or blaming each other.

For instance, my grandfather manages all the finances, my mother and aunt take care of the kitchen and other household tasks, my father and uncle go out to earn and my grandmother teaches us good values and takes us to the park every evening.

One thing that I love about my family members is that they are all mature enough to understand that no one is perfect. They know that people are bound to make mistakes at times and that is how they learn and grow. They have taught me that it is necessary to understand and forgive in order to live cordially with one another. These are the few qualities that help us all live together harmoniously.

Our Weekend Outings

I just love our weekend outings together. Every alternate weekend we all go to a mall or amusement part or for picnic to a nearby picnic spot to spend the entire day together. For picnics, we pack food and take it along. We also take along games such as Tambola and Ludo.

All my family members participate in these games and we thoroughly enjoy this time together. It strengthens our bond all the more. During our outings to the mall, we sit and dine together. During these dining sessions we talk, laugh and get to know each other better.

Our in-House Parties

My grandparents are from the era where people invited their friends and relatives home and also visited them quite often. So, this trend still continues at our home. We host a lot of house parties wherein we invite our relatives and friends. These parties are full of fun. We get to meet our cousins and friends and have amazing food during these parties. We also meet our uncles and aunts who pamper us and shower us with blessings.

Cousins Visit during Summer Vacations

We eagerly look forward to our cousin’s and aunt’s visit during the summer vacations. It is the best time of the year. Our house is filled with joy and laughter during this time. There is no study pressure.

So, we all get to play a lot. We also get to eat a variety of food items cooked by our aunts. It is also the time to have a lot of ice creams and jellies. We study for around an hour or so during the entire day during this time and the rest of the time is for enjoying and playing with the cousins. During the evening hours we go to the nearby park and play football, cricket and hide and seek.

I really love all my family members and wish we live together forever. I strongly believe that joint family system is the best however only if the family members accept each other as they are live together in harmony. I am truly lucky to have such a loving family and extended family. Life is so much fun when we are surrounded by such beautiful people.

In conclusion, a happy family is a treasure. It’s the source of love, support, and endless joy.

250 Words Essay on Happy Family

Introduction, elements of a happy family.

Role of Shared Experiences

Shared experiences, from daily routines to special occasions, strengthen familial bonds. They create shared memories and traditions, fostering a sense of unity. The joy derived from these shared experiences contributes significantly to happiness within a family.

Impact on Society

A happy family, as a fundamental societal unit, influences community wellbeing. By nurturing responsible, empathetic individuals, it contributes to social harmony. Conversely, societal structures and policies can impact family happiness, emphasizing the reciprocity of this relationship.

In conclusion, a happy family is more than just a group of people related by blood or marriage. It is a dynamic entity characterized by love, respect, open communication, and shared experiences. 500 Words Essay on Happy Family

A happy family is a foundation of a stable society, a microcosm that mirrors the broader world. It is a sanctuary where individuals learn to love, respect, share, and understand the complexities of life. It is not merely about living under one roof but about sharing a sense of belonging and emotional connection.

Communication: The Lifeline of a Happy Family

One of the most significant factors contributing to a happy family is open and honest communication. It fosters trust, mitigates misunderstandings, and strengthens relationships. Communication in a family is not just about exchanging information, but also about expressing emotions, sharing experiences, and resolving conflicts. It is through effective communication that a family can navigate through life’s challenges together, fostering an environment of happiness and harmony.

Shared Values and Beliefs

Shared values and beliefs are the compass that guides a family’s actions and decisions. They form the family’s identity and create a sense of unity. These shared values could range from moral and ethical principles to cultural and religious beliefs. They provide a framework for understanding the world and one’s place in it, thereby fostering a sense of security and belonging.

Importance of Spending Quality Time Together

Resilience: weathering the storms together.

A happy family is not one that is free from problems, but one that can face them together with strength and resilience. The ability to support each other during difficult times, to forgive and let go of grudges, and to learn and grow from these experiences, distinguishes a happy family from a dysfunctional one.

A happy family is a confluence of love, understanding, communication, shared values, quality time, and resilience. It is a nurturing environment that fosters individual growth and collective happiness. It is a sanctuary where one can find comfort, support, and unconditional love.
