Deals are listed and sectioned by headline value, upfront payment, milestone payment and royalty rates. Chapter 4 provides a review of the top 25 most active biopharma companies in immunology dealmaking. Where the deal has an agreement contract published at the SEC a link provides online access to the contract via the Current Agreements deals and alliances database. Chapter 5 provides a comprehensive and detailed review of immunology deals signed and announced since 2016 where a contract document is available. Each deal title links via Weblink to an online version of the actual contract document, providing easy access to each contract document on demand. Chapter 6 provides a comprehensive directory of immunology deals listed by therapeutic target. The report also includes numerous table and figures that illustrate the trends and activities in immunology deal making since 2016. In addition, a comprehensive deal directory is provided organized by company A-Z and technology type. Johnson & johnson: proteologix acquisition yields promising early-stage immunology drugs.

immunology research and reports

Johnson & Johnson’s announced acquisition of Proteologix for $850 million upfront followed by potential milestone payments doesn’t impact our fair value estimate but yields attractive early-stage atopic dermatitis and asthma drugs at a reasonable price. The pipeline drugs complement J&J’s well-positioned immunology franchise and hold the potential to help strengthen the firm’s wide moat.

Antimicrobial host defence peptides: functions and clinical potential

Naturally occurring cationic host defence peptides, also known as antimicrobial peptides, can control infections by their direct microbicidal properties and by modulating the host’s immune responses. In addition, certain cationic host defence peptides can resolve harmful inflammation. Here, Mookherjee et al. assess the emerging potential to therapeutically harness these peptides to treat infectious diseases, chronic inflammatory disorders and wound healing, highlighting current preclinical studies and clinical trials.
