Hello, my name is(your name). I’ll make a presentation about sports  today ,and I’ll show you some pictures. Ihope  you’ll get benefit with the subject. If you have any question I’ll be happy to answer it after I finish.

Because of the great comfort offered by modern human techniques, many diseases have emerged, mainly due to lack of exercise and increased body mass. People’s bodies today are not the same as previous objects. People have survived death due to the tremendous technological development in the medical field. Many treatments have been able to eliminate a large number of different diseases, but in return great comfort, lack of movement, and the spread of harmful foods  caused in the increase of other diseases such as heart disease, chronic diabetes, high blood pressure, and other diseases.

Effect of exercise on the human body;

The importance of exercise is to protect people from the various diseases and disorders that hinder their lives, which greatly reduce their chances of success in the work they perform and which they are always required to do. These actions are much easier for those who are physically have high fitness .

Exercise for 30 minutes, three times a week – maintains body consistency and keeps the human heart from harm, besides improving the ability of the lungs to absorb good amounts of oxygen, all of which prolong The age of man, and reduce the possibility of his death.

Sport increases the ability of people to enjoy the life in the exercise of their favorite sports, such as mountain climbing,  adventures in valleys, and many other sports. Sports reduces the rate of human tension, which gives him a sense of optimism, vitality and activity during the different days of his life.

The benefits of sport are not limited to the above, but there are many other benefits ,and most importantly, sport is a lifestyle, it is difficult to leave it even in the most difficult times, it makes you earn a high self confidence and improves the overall mood  which makes him a very different person from before.

Sports benefits for health;

Sports can be practiced in daily life by changing daily routines and adding movement, and these benefits ,as demonstrated by recent studies,are:

Reduce the risk of diabetes.

Reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease and cholesterol.

Getting rid of accumulated fat in the body is therefore a way to maintain body weight.

Makes the mind better and the memory active.

Increases self- confidence because the sport teaches us endurance and patience when performing exercises to make the body more fit and flexible, and thus is a psychological teacher teaches us confidence and patience.

Eliminate all stress of life, such as tension, nervousness, and excess energy.

Maintains bone health, reduces risk of fragility, and maintains joint health.

Increases sexual capacity in women and men.

To eliminate the depression that may affect humans, and this has been proven by recent studies that stated that people who exercise in their lives get rid of all symptoms of mental disorders, including depression.

Helps improve brain function by secreting chemicals such as endorphins that make a person feel better.

Suggestions for sports activities in our lives;

There are a lot of important activities that involve improving the health and the body, which are good exercises that can be added in the daily routine and change it to the best such as:

Going up and down stairs and away from using the elevator, this helps to improve the joints and strengthen the bones.

Walking and not using transportation If the place is close, walking for half an hour a day improves mood and thinking and also increases muscle tone.

Do housework such as: cleaning the floor and arranging the rooms.

Self-reliance when doing special things like cleaning your car, buying needs.

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 10, 2024 – Seven-time Olympic champions and world record holders Katie Ledecky and Caeleb Dressel , alongside multiple other U.S. Olympians, headline the final stop of the TYR Pro Swim Series this week streaming live exclusively on Peacock from Northside Swim Center in San Antonio, Texas.

NBC Sports’ live coverage streams on Peacock tomorrow and Friday at 7 p.m. ET. Highlights will air on NBC this Saturday, April 13, at 3:30 p.m. ET and on CNBC at 1:30 p.m. ET this Saturday and Sunday, April 12.

Ledecky, who is aiming to make her fourth Olympic team this year, is the world record holder in both the 800m free and 1500m free, the latter of which she hasn’t lost a final in since 2010. The 21-time world champion is entered in the 200m through 1500m frees this weekend. Dressel, looking to make his third Olympic team, is the world record holder in the 100m butterfly. He is entered in that event as well as the 50m free and 100m free this weekend.

In addition to Ledecky and Dressel, four-time Olympic gold medalist Ryan Murphy , two-time Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Bobby Finke , five-time Olympic medalist Lilly King , three-time Tokyo Olympic medalist Regan Smith , two-time Olympic medalist in the 400 IM Chase Kalisz , and five-time Olympic medalist Simone Manuel are expected to compete.

This week’s competition is the final stop in the 2024 TYR Pro Swim Series. The U.S. Olympic Team Trials – Swimming will be held from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Ind., from June 15-23, where the top two finishers in most events will earn their spots on Team USA in Paris. JERSEY SHORE — Although the full budget presentation won’t be until their next meeting, April 22, the Jersey Shore Area School Board heard from Ben Ender, district business manager, that projected revenues include no tax increase.

“Our revenue budget is just over $46,750,000,” Enders said.

He went on to explain that it comes from three major sources — the state, local and federal governments.

“These numbers do not reflect an increase in real estate taxes, at all. The real estate tax number you see there is the same amount that we budgeted currently in the ’23-24 budget,” he said.

“This week I will be sending a request for assessed values to the assessment offices in the two counties. But it does not reflect any type of increase in millage nor an increase in assessment,” he added.

Currently residents in the district who live in Lycoming County pay 18.38 mills and those in Clinton County, 13.67 mills.

Enders detailed the budget process.

“Tonight we’re doing revenue. Next meeting, we are doing a full budget presentation. First meeting in May will be the presentation and adoption of the preliminary budget,” he said.

“As a reminder, you’ve heard me say this to you before … (the proposed budget) can change between voting on primary and the final,” he said.

Final approval of the budget will be at the first meeting in June.

In preparation for the 2024-25 school year, the board awarded contracts for food service and custodial and maintenance supplies.

The board agreed to accept donations of health and safety-related supplies for students at the Jersey Shore Elementary from local community businesses. These included: 250 bags from UPMC; 250 hand sanitizers from Shore Tire & Auto Repair; 250 sunscreens from UPMC; JSSB (Jersey Shore State Bank) stress baseballs and frisbees from JSSB; one $25 gift card from Weis Markets; $20 gift card from Phil It Up; case of laundry detergent from Avis Laundromat; and two home safety baskets from Bob Boob and 1st Choice Realty.

In another matter, the board also approved creation of a memorial garden in honor students who have passed away, as proposed by a group of students at the board’s last meeting. The board also approved job descriptions for the assistant principal and the school assistance program team member.

Bocce Ball coaches and their stipends were OK’d by the board: Steph Machmer, $333.34, and Patty Hess and Haley Enders, $333.33 each.

The next board meeting will be at 7 p.m. April 15 at the Administration Building, 175 A&P Drive.

‘gridshock’ film shows impact of human trafficking, presentation set for saturday at laramar.

A town hall meeting Saturday will enable people to learn how human trafficking takes away the choices of those who are forced to undertake sex acts for money.

Randy Kuhlman, chief executive officer of the Fort Dodge Community Foundation and United Way, said human trafficking is a scourge that negatively impacts people. He wants people to come and learn about the topic, which they may not know a lot about.

The majority of criminal activity in human trafficking goes unreported. The victims are trying to extricate themselves from the power imbalance, and fear being arrested for prostitution if they contact law enforcement officials.

The event set up by the Safe Communities Coalition will begin at 10 a.m. in the Laramar Ballroom, 710 First Ave. N.

The session will begin with a 50-minute documentary by a native Iowan, then a question and answer portion will follow. The documentary “Gridshock” is by Vanessa McNeal, who is a survivior of sexual violence.

Kuhlman said “Gridshock” is a great way to frame the trafficking topic for people. McNeal on her website notes that while she’s proud of the documentary, it is a difficult topic and can trigger some people as they hear the first-hand details of sex trafficking survivors from Iowa.

The question and answer session will be led by Ray Fiedler, coordinator for the state Office to Combat Human Trafficking, and two counselors who work with victims and survivors. Kuhlman said the trio has a hands-on perspective that comes from working with those who have been trafficked.

People may erroneously think sex trafficking only takes place in large cities. However, according to the Blue Campaign, a national public awareness campaign devoted to preventing human trafficking, it is a problem everywhere, in all 50 states, including rural communities.

According to a report by the Iowa Office to Combat Human Trafficking, there were 71 human trafficking tips and leads received by the agency in 2023.

Law enforcement authorities report that trafficking victims are often teenage girls and young women. Young men are also victimized by sex traffickers, with LGBTQ people particularly vulnerable. The traffickers often aim for people on the margins of society, since those who are poor, are runaways or who have mental health or substance abuse issues can be vulnerable to control.

A similar event with the documentary in Humboldt County drew 200 people.

Serpent Mound Presentation

ATHENS, Ohio — The Southeast Ohio History Center Lyceum Speaker Series will present a program on the geological history of the Serpent Mound site at noon April 17 at the History Center, 24 West State St., Athens.

Dr. Keith Milam, of the Ohio University Department of Geological Sciences, researches planetary geology, and impact cratering.

Milam states “The Serpent Mound impact structure is the only known remnant of an impact crater in the state of Ohio. It is a heavily eroded, complex impact structure located at the junction of Adams, Highland, and Pike counties in southern Ohio. It formed as a result of the impact of an asteroid or comet into sedimentary rock.”

Milam will be discussing past, current, and future research taking place at the site.

The event is a brown bag luncheon program. The Lyceum Luncheon Speaker Series is generally scheduled for the third Thursdays of the month.

We send it to the state or we tell the state that we passed it, and the only thing we have to do is do that for 30 days prior to final approval. It will change and it can change between voting on primary and the final,” he said.

In preparation for the 2024-25 school year, the board awarded contracts for food service and custodial and maintenance supplies. Contracts awarded included: Nutrition, Inc. as the district’s food service provider; the custodial and maintenance supply bid award/CSIU to various vendors for a total award of $16,092; the general supply bid award/CSIU to various vendors for a total award of $33,945; and the art supply bid award/CSIU to various vendors totaling $25,755.

The contract with Nutrition, Inc. runs from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

The board agreed to accept donations of health and safety-related supplies for students at the Jersey Shore Elementary from local community businesses.
