عالی مقام لوگو! ڈینگی مچھر رکے ہوئے پانی سے پھیلتا ہے۔ مکان کی چھتوں پر پڑی بے کار اشیاء ٹوٹے ہوئے گملے، پودوں کی نرسریاں، پانی کی موٹروں سے بہنے والا پانی، فریج کی ٹرے، کھلی جگہوں پر پڑے پرانے ٹائر اور ائیر کولر ڈینگی مچھر کے پیدا ہونے کے اور پلنے کے لیے بہترین رہائش گاہیں ہیں۔ لہٰذا ہم سب کو چاہئے کہ ہم اپنے گھروں کی چھتوں سے بے کار اشیاء فوری طور پر تلف کر دیں۔ گملوں، فریج کی ٹرے سے پانی نکال دیں تاکہ مادہ مچھر انڈے نہ دے سکے۔

ڈینگی کوئی نیا مرض نہیں ہے۔ یہ ایک مخصوص قسم کے مچھر کے کاٹنے سے انسانی جسم میں داخل ہوتا ہے۔ اس کا زیادہ تر شکار ایشیائی ممالک کے باشندے ہیں۔ لیکن گھبرانے کی کوئی بات نہیں، یہ مکمل طور پر ایک قابلِ علاج مرض ہے۔

پپیتے کے پتوں کا رس نکال کر صبح اور شام پلانا بھی ڈینگی بخار کا شافی علاج ہے۔ بکری کا دودھ بھی اس مرض میں نہایت مفید ثابت ہو سکتا ہے۔ مریض کو دن میں بار بار بکری کا دودھ پلاتے رہنا چاہیے۔

اتنی ساری احتیاطی تدابیر ہونے کے باوجود میرے ہزاروں لوگ تڑپ تڑپ کر مر گئے۔ صرف پاکستان میں انسانیت کا اتنا ضیاع ہوا ، ہزاروں اموات ہوئیں مگر اب ڈینگی پر بھرپور طور پر قابو پالیا گیا ہے۔ خدا تعالیٰ سے دعا ہے کہ ہم سب پر رحم و کرم فرمائے۔۔۔ آمین شکریہ۔

Dengue essay in urdu, dengue essay in urdu pdf, ڈینگی بخار ایک خاص قسم کے مچھر سے پیدا ہونے والا وائرل انفکشن ہے ۔ ڈینگی، جسے “بریک بون فیور” بھی کہا جاتا ہے  اس کی ابتداء     1975ء کے عشرے میں ہوئی اور یہ دیکھتے ہی دیکھتے ایشیا ،یورپ اور افریقہ تک پھیل گیا۔ ڈینگی بخار مریض کے خون میں سفید خلیوں کو ختم کرتا  چلا جاتا ہے۔ جس سے  شدید بخار،متلی اور قے، کمر اور پٹھوں میں درد اور سر میں شدید درد  ہوتا ہے ۔ڈینگی بخار کی 1979ء میں  شناخت ہوئی اور اسے ڈینگو بخار(dengue fever)  کا نام دیاگیاتھا۔.

ڈینگی بخار کی  ابتدائی طبی  علامات

• تیز بخار ہونا
• سر میں شدید درد کا ہونا
• آنکھوں کے عقب میں درد
• پٹھوں اور جوڑوں کا درد
• متلی (الٹیاں)
• سوجی ہوئی لمف نوڈز
• اور دانے نکل آنا

ڈینگی بخار کا انتقال انسانوں میں مادہ ایڈیس مچھروں کے کاٹنے  کی وجہ سے ہوتا ہے  جب ڈینگی بخار میں مبتلا ایک مریض  کو  ویکٹر مچھر  کاٹتا ہے تو یہ وائرس ایک انسان سے دوسرے انسان تک پہنچ جاتا ہے ۔ ڈینگی بخار سے تندرست ہونے کے لیے 7 سے 14 دن درکار ہوتے ہیں ۔

ڈینگی  بخار کے ابتدائی مرحلہ  اور شدید  سٹیج کے لئے کوئی مخصوص علاج موجود نہیں ہے۔ ڈینگی کا بخار عام طور پر خودبخود ٹھی ہو جاتا ہے  ۔عام طور پر بے چینی کو آرام پہچانے کیلئے علاماتی ادویات دی جاتی ہیں۔ شدید ڈینگی میں مبتلا مریض کا علاج معاونتی انتظامیہ کے ساتھ فوری طور پر کیا جا سکتا ہے۔ ڈینگی بخار میں علاج کا اہم عنصر جسم میں سیال مادے  اور خون کی گردش کو برقرار رکھنا ہے۔ ڈینگی بخار میں مناسب اور بروقت علاج  نے اموات کی شرح کو کبھی بھی   1 فیصد سے اوپر نہیں جانے دیا ۔

• متاثرہ علاقوں کے دورے کے دوران، اگر متعدی دیہی علاقوں کا سفر کریں تو، ایک قاب منتقلی مچھردانی ساتھ رکھیں

Summary about Dengue Fever in English

Dengue is a viral disease spread by mosquitoes. These mosquitoes breed near human living spaces and bite mostly at dawn or dusk but can bite at night as well. When mosquitos bite affected people and then bite healthy ones they transmit dengue. Dengue usually resolves between 7-10 days but in some people, it can lead to complications such as dengue hemorrhagic fever and dengue shock syndrome.

Symptoms of Dengue Fever

Symptoms of dengue start appearing 4-6 days post-infection. These can last for up to 10 days. Dengue can cause the following symptoms:

•  High-grade  fever
• Pain behind eyes
• Nose and gum bleeding
• Easy bruising
• Muscular pain 
• Pain in joints 
• Vomiting 
• Rashes on skin
• Dengue shock syndrome 

Causes of Dengue Fever

Dengue is caused by dengue virus transmitted to humans via mosquitos. Mosquitos that bite an affected person when bite healthy people infect them with the virus. Dengue viruses are of four types. Getting affected with one makes you immune to that certain type but not others.  These specific mosquitos thrive and reproduce near human living spaces.

Risk Factors of Dengue Fever

Living or traveling to the areas with dengue outbreak specifically tropical areas and having a dengue fever in the past put you at greater risk of dengue.

Preventive Measures of Dengue Fever

The most effective preventive measures against dengue are the prevention of mosquito bites. A vaccine is also available but it is approved to be used in people between 9-45 years of age. Reducing the mosquito population, inhibiting their breeding, and wearing protective clothing are major steps of prevention. Staying in well-screened places and use of mosquito repellants i also recommended.

This is a very fatal virus and unfortunately it is dispersing like an epidemic. Every year more than 2.5 million people in the whole world are affected by this contagious virus and most of the people even lost their lives. Pakistan lies in the list of country that is the victim of this viral disease. This is caused by the bite of specific female mosquito. Breakbone fever is another name for this kind of virus. The fever is spread by the bite of those mosquitoes that belongs to Aedes egypti specie. Thus specific mosquito grows up in clean water. The incubation period between the symptoms appearance and bite is around 3-7 days. When the mosquito bites it directly affects the white blood cells of the human body due to which the platelets start decreasing in the blood stream. Such types of mosquitoes are also the cause of Chikungunga virus fever and yellow fever. Furthermore, dengue virus has four sub types generating varying symptoms of this infection.

In 1994 the first case of dengue virus was seen in Karachi Pakistan. At that time this disease was unrecognizable and the Government of Pakistan and the general masses were not able to fight against this virus. This main symptom of this virus includes headache, fever, diarrhea, joint and muscle pain, red rashes on the skin, bleeding from mouth and nose and sudden-onset fever.

Water pools, streets and many other places like these helps mosquitoes to grow. Moreover, till now no specific medicine is invented to cure from this infection. However, the treat of this disease is supportive in Pakistan. Anti-pyretics, Analgesics and broad-spectrum antibodies are given to the affected person to minimize the risk of minor infection. Blood transfusions are done in case of excessive bleeding. It is observed that majority of the patients got recovery from such kind of treatment.

The best thing anyone can do is to do radical steps to prevent fever. By keeping our environment clean and do mosquitoes repellent sprays we can minimize the risk of this viral disease. Storage of water should be forbidden if anyone need then he must cover it properly. Everyone should know about the cause of this virus so that he can take preventive actions to lessen this. Moreover, educational institutes and media are also running a campaign to aware people. The Push for a Better Dengue Vaccine Grows More Urgent

A public research institute in Brazil has proved a new shot protects against the disease, but can’t make it fast enough to stop the huge outbreak sweeping Latin America.

The outbreak of dengue fever that has unfolded in Latin America over the past three months is staggering in its scale — a million cases in Brazil in a matter of weeks, a huge spike in Argentina, a state of emergency declared in Peru and now another in Puerto Rico.

It forewarns of a changing landscape for the disease. The mosquitoes that spread dengue thrive in densely populated cities with weak infrastructure, and in warmer and wetter environments — the type of habitat that is expanding quickly with climate change.

More than 3.5 million cases of dengue have been confirmed by governments in Latin America in the first three months of 2024, compared with 4.5 million in all of 2023. There have been more than 1,000 deaths so far this year. The Pan-American Health Organization is warning that this may be the worst year for dengue ever recorded .

The rapidly shifting disease landscape needs new solutions, and researchers in Brazil delivered the lone shred of good news in this story with the recent announcement that a clinical trial of a new dengue vaccine, delivered in a single shot, had provided strong protection against the disease .

There are two existing vaccines for dengue, but one is an expensive two-shot regimen, while the other can be given only to people who have already had a dengue infection.

The new one-shot vaccine uses live, weakened forms of all four strains of the dengue virus. It was created by scientists at the National Institutes of Health in the United States and licensed for development by the Instituto Butantan, a huge public research institute in São Paulo.

Butantan will make the vaccine. It already produces most of the immunizations used in Brazil, and has the capacity to make tens of millions of doses of this new one. The institute plans to submit the dengue vaccine to Brazil’s regulatory agency for approval in the next few months and could begin producing it next year.

But that won’t help with this outbreak and, by the time the production gears up and a national rollout gets started, it may not be enough to help with the next one, either; dengue typically surges in three- or four-year cycles.

And it won’t necessarily be of help to the rest of Latin America: Butantan will only make the vaccine for Brazil. The multinational drug company Merck & Co., which also licensed the NIH technology, is developing a related vaccine which will be sold in the rest of the world; the efficacy of that vaccine has not yet been tested in a late-stage clinical trial.

And there is, of course, demand for a dengue vaccine beyond the Americas: Mosquitoes are spreading the disease to Croatia, Italy, California and other regions that haven’t seen it before. Places used to handling mild outbreaks now face record-breaking ones: Bangladesh had 300,000 cases last year.

Dengue is commonly known by the name breakbone fever, after the excruciating joint pain it causes. Not everybody experiences that pain: Three-quarters of people infected with dengue don’t have any symptoms at all, and among those who do, most cases resemble only a mild flu.

But about 5 percent of people who become sick will progress to what’s called severe dengue. Plasma, the protein-rich fluid component of blood, can start to leak out of blood vessels, causing patients to go into shock or have organ failure.

When patients with severe dengue are treated with blood transfusions and intravenous fluids, the mortality rate tends to be between 2 and 5 percent. But when they don’t get treatment — because they don’t realize it’s dengue and don’t seek treatment quickly enough, or because health centers are overwhelmed — the mortality rate is 15 percent.

In Brazil, the current dengue outbreak is hitting children hardest; those under 5 have the highest mortality rate of any age group, followed by those age 5 to 9. Adolescents between 10 and 14 have the highest number of confirmed cases, according to the Instituto Oswaldo Cruz , a national public health research center.

As clinics began to be overwhelmed with dengue patients in January, the Brazilian government bought the entire global stock of a Japanese-made vaccine for dengue called Qdenga. Public health nurses are delivering it to children ages 6 to 16, but there will be enough vaccine to fully vaccinate only 3.3 million of Brazil’s 220 million people this year.

This big national effort will protect a few million children, but it won’t contribute anything to its herd immunity.

Qdenga is not cheap: It’s about $115 per dose in Europe and $40 in Indonesia. Brazil is paying $19 per dose, having negotiated a lower price for its huge purchase.

Takeda Pharmaceuticals, which makes Qdenga, announced a deal last month with Biological E, a large Indian generic drug maker, to license and produce up to 50 million doses a year, part of a race to accelerate production. The Indian vaccine should cost considerably less. But Biological E is unlikely to have regulatory approval to market it before 2030; it’s a slow process that involves transferring technology, setting up a production line and getting a new version of even a well-known product approved by regulators.

Dengue costs Brazil at least $1 billion a year in health care treatment and lost productivity. And that figure doesn’t take into account the human suffering involved.

The fact that there are four different strains of the dengue virus complicates more than the process of making a vaccine: The potentially fatal form of the disease is more common when patients have a second infection, with a different strain than they had the first time. Qdenga protects against all four strains of dengue, and the hope is that the new Butantan vaccine does, too, although the data released so far shows it tested against only the two types that were circulating during the first part of the trial; more results are expected in June.
