“A Mystic Hero” is a Blanche-themed set of quests in Pokémon Go as part of the season-long Rising Heroes storyline.

Running April 13-17 , though there are no event-specific spawns, you can expect two research quests — one Timed, one Special with no end date — as well as bonuses when evolving Pokémon.

Pokémon Go A Mystic Hero Timed Research quest steps

The following research steps — found on the ‘Today’ screen — will be available until the event concludes on April 17 at 8 p.m. local time:

Step 1 of 3

• Catch 5 Pokémon (5 Poké Balls)
• Transfer 3 Pokémon (5 Ninab Berries)
• Evolve a Pokemon (1,000 Stardust)

Rewards : 1,000 XP, 500 Stardust, 2 Rare Candy

Step 2 of 3

• Catch 10 Pokémon (5 Poké Balls)
• Transfer 5 Pokémon (5 Razz Berries)
• Evolve 3 Pokémon (3,000 Stardust)

Rewards : 2,000 XP, 1,000 Stardust, 2 Rare Candy

Step 3 of 3

• Evolve a Pokémon (10 Pinap Berries)
• Evolve 2 Pokémon (15 Poke Balls)
• Evolve 3 Pokémon (15 Great Balls)
• Evolve 4 Pokémon (10 Ultra Balls)
• Evolve 5 Pokémon (3 Silver Pinap Berries)

Rewards : 3,000 XP, 2,000 Stardust, Magnetic Lure Module

The following research steps — found on the ‘Special’ screen — has no end date , provided you have logged in and begun the quest during the event:

• Catch 15 Pokémon (10 Poké Balls)
• Use 10 Pinap Berries while catching Pokémon (1,000 Stardust)
• Make 10 Great Throws (7 Pinap Berries)

Rewards : 1,500 XP, Eevee encounter

• Evolve 3 Pokémon (50 Eevee Candy)
• Use 15 Berries to help catch Pokémon (15 Poké Balls)
• Catch 25 Pokémon (Shelmet Encounter)

Rewards : 2,000 XP, Karrablast encounter

• Make 3 Excellent Throws (5,000 Stardust)
• Earn 5 Candies walking with your Buddy (10 Razz Berries)
• Evolve 10 Pokémon ( Inkay Encounter)

Rewards : 2,500 XP, Lapras wearing a Blanche-themed accessory Encounter

The following bonuses will be available April 13-17:

• Double XP for evolving Pokémon

Beyond that, there are no special spawns, changes to Eggs or Raid line-ups as part of the event, which means the above bonuses and quests are your focus.

The Dazzling Dream Collection Challenge is available in Pokémon Go until Tuesday 16th January at 8pm (local time) . For completing this challenge before this deadline, you'll earn a selection of rewards and add progress to your Elite Collector Medal.

Keep in mind that two of the Pokémon in this Collection Challenge - Wigglytuff and Clefable - must be obtained via evolution.

Remember - you must obtain all of the Pokémon for this Collection Challenge by hatching eggs.

Below you'll find all of the Pokémon in the Dazzling Dream Hatch Collection Challenge, along with how to find them:

Spinning PokéStops during the Dazzling Dream event in Pokémon Go may see you receiving event-exclusive field research tasks. These tasks can then be saved in your field research collection and completed after the event ends. Yet, you may want to complete them during the event as the encounters they reward will help complete the above Collection Challenges.

Here are the Dazzling Dream field research tasks in Pokémon Go:

• Evolve a Fairy-type Pokémon reward - 20 Mega Gardevoir or Altaria Energy
• Evolve 3 Fairy-type Pokémon reward - Carbink encounter

There are two bonuses running throughout the Dazzling Dream event in Pokémon Go - double catch Stardust and double hatch Stardust. Both bonuses will be available until the event ends on Tuesday 16th January at 8pm (local time) .

The Dazzling Dream also sees the release of shiny Cutiefly and Ribombee.

Finally, you can purchase a pay-to-play timed research quest during Dazzling Dream. This quest costs £1.99, $2 or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency, with the rewards including two Premium Battle Passes, XP and two Star Pieces. Keep in mind that purchasing this quest is nonrefundable and it must be complete before Tuesday 16th January at 8pm (local time) or else it will expire.

Pokemon Go January 2021 Field Research Task List And Rewards

Here are this month's new Research tasks and their possible rewards in Pokemon Go.

A new month is now underway, which means a new set of Field Research tasks and rewards are now live in Pokemon Go . In addition to all the new tasks, developer Niantic has also rolled out a new Research Breakthrough encounter this month, giving you a chance to catch another rare Pokemon in the game.

Each Research Breakthrough you achieve in January 2021 will lead to an encounter with Chansey. You'll achieve a Research Breakthrough once you've amassed seven stamps. As a refresher, one stamp is doled out for the first Field Research task you complete each day, so you'll need complete at least one task daily for a full week to encounter Chansey.

If you don't manage to achieve a Research Breakthrough before the month ends, don't worry; any stamps you've earned will carry over, so your progress will go toward next month's Research Breakthrough.

Other new Pokemon encounters are also available as potential rewards for completing this month's Field Research. You can see the list of tasks and their possible rewards, as compiled by The Silph Road , below.

January 2021 is another busy month for Pokemon Go. Developer Niantic has a number of January events lined up for the game, including a Sinnoh Celebration and another Community Day. The studio is also bringing a handful of Legendary and Mythical Pokemon back to Raids this month; Heatran is currently appearing until January 19, while Groudon and Kyogre will follow from January 19-26.

Finishing off the Cover Legendaries of Generation 4, Giratina: Altered Forme is one of the raid bosses that are available once Go Tour ends. While this isn't quite as exciting as the Origin Formes, it's still nice to have the option.

Lucky Origin Forme Doesn’t Decrease Stardust Cost by u/Zat50 in TheSilphRoad

While not something that I would have personally thought to check, Reddit user u/Zat50 found that Lucky variants of Origin Forme Dialga/Palkia  do not  get a Stardust discount when using their Adventure effects. If they could, then that would  definitely  have changed the game a bit, and made trading an absolute must. 

Sinnoh tour after 6pm by u/teffania in TheSilphRoad

While it seems obvious on the surface that many of the event-exclusive bonuses won't persist after-hours, Silph Road user u/teffania has listed out what bonuses will/won't stay active. This list of bonuses is potentially genuinely useful for planning gameplay between Day 1 and Day 2.

How to use map trackers to up your Pokémon Go game

When Pokémon Go first launched, many ambitious players invested time and resources into setting up interactive maps and trackers to assist players in finding everything in the game, from raids to rare Pokémon spawns. While some of this was great for everyone involved, it also put a lot of strain on Niantic and brought up concerns about cheating. Through a concerted effort on Niantic's part, changes were made to the back end of the game that make it more difficult for trackers and maps to work. Most of these sites have since gone offline, but a handful still remain.

These few sites have found legitimate ways to provide players with guidance to finding things in-game. And we're here to walk you through the remaining options. Also, be sure to check out our best Pokémon Go accessories , so you can be fully equipped on your Pokémon journey!

Why use a map or tracker in Pokémon Go in the first place?

While the information each map or tracker can provide varies and the quality of that information can be spotty in many areas, these tools can give players direction and save them a lot of time. If you're trying to find a Machop nest so you can power up your Machamp, some maps lay out all of the nests in an area and what Pokémon are spawning there. If you're looking for a particular raid battle, there are maps for that too. If you're visiting a new area and want to know where the biggest clusters of gyms and PokéStops are, there are also maps for that. One site even tries to keep track of rare Pokémon spawns.

While some players consider some or even all of these tools to be cheating , they can provide invaluable guidance for those who use them. Of those that are still up and running, four stand out.

Go Map for Pokémon Go

GO Map is a collaborative, real-time map that lists PokéStops and gyms, as well as Pokémon spawns. Because this site relies on players to report locations and spawns, it is more useful in some areas than others. This site also offers an interactive Pokédex with statistics and in-depth details about each Pokémon. They offer a PVP guide that provides not only step-by-step instructions, but also a break down of their preferred Pokémon for PVP battles. You can sort Pokémon by country and city as well for major cities, or use it as a more traditional map.

PokeHunter for Pokémon Go

PokeHunter is one of the maps and trackers that runs remarkably well. They offer detailed information on gyms, including which Team has control at any moment, how many spaces remain in a gym, and where raids are happening. It'd be a perfect tool save for one massive downside: it only works for a handful of cities in three US states. If you happen to live or work in one of the following cities, this is a fantastic tool:

• California (Cupertino, Downtown Campbell, Mountain View, North San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Pasadena, and Los Banos)
• Minnesota (North Saint Paul, Apple Valley, Eagan, Savage, Burnsville, Prior Lake, South Minneapolis, and Lakeville)
• Oregon (Downtown Portland, Happy Valley, Gresham, and Hillsboro)

PogoMap for Pokémon Go

PogoMap is a comprehensive map of all Gyms, PokéStops, and Nests and one of my personal favorites for one particular reason: it differentiates between normal Gyms and Gyms that have the potential to hand out EX Raid Passes. Although EX Raids aren't happening at the moment, when they are happening, this is an invaluable tool.

While this map has the ability to report lots of useful details, such as which Pokémon are spawning in a current Nest, when Team Go Rocket has invaded a PokéStop or even which Field Research tasks any particular PokéStop is handing out, I found these features to be underutilized in my area despite being near multiple large cities. In some areas with more active players, these tools could be handy, but even without them, I find the information on this particular map to be super helpful.

The Silph Road

Saving the best for last, The Silph Road has remained the biggest and best-organized site for Pokémon Go players to collaborate. In addition to their comprehensive Pokédex and countless guides on Pokémon Go, they have a map that has all the Nest locations with both confirmed and rumored Nest spawns. Plus, there's an unofficial League Map that provides locations for real-world meet-ups of all varieties. Their site offers more information on Pokémon Go than any other I've ever found, and the people running it from all around the world are some of the most knowledgeable and dedicated players in the game. It's easy to see why they are the go-to authority on all things Pokémon Go.

Other options for Pokémon Go

Maybe, for some reason or another, these tools just aren't cutting it for you. While there will never be the number or quality of tools for Pokémon Go players as existed in its early days, there are still other options. Namely, the best thing you can do for real-time information on Pokémon Go is to connect with other local players. Many social platforms, such as Facebook and Reddit, run local Pokémon Go communities. These groups often have active Facebook Messengers Groups and Discord Chats, where you can connect with other local players who share locations of rare Pokémon spawns, Raids, coveted Research tasks, and more. If these tools just aren't enough, your best bet is to connect with other players through these groups.
