What is homework cover page?
Homework cover page is an effective tool to be used when you want to cover your homework and want to enhance its look. The basic objective of using the cover page is to make an attractive representation of the homework.
By looking at the homework cover page, the teacher makes a first impression about the homework and can also see the hard work and the interest the student has put in for completing the homework assignment. When the cover page is impressive, the results are likely to be in the student’s favor.
The cover letter generally includes the topic of the assignment as well as the points covered in it. The teacher is generally interested in knowing what points you have covered Instead of pointing out your mistakes.
If you have mentioned all the basic details on the cover page, your cover page will compel the teacher to give you good grades. There are lots of factors which are taken into consideration while making the homework cover page. You should be aware of all the items to be mentioned in the cover page and the way they should be mentioned.
Tips to design a homework cover page:
- Adding the cover, in general, is not considered as something mandatory. However, if the teacher makes it compulsory for the student to add a cover page, she/he also explains the specifications of the cover page. When the teacher becomes specific about how a cover page of the homework should look like, it becomes a responsibility of the student to follow the instructions of the teacher.
- The student should try to ensure that the cover page that he designs meets the needs of the teacher. The teacher usually tells about the format of the cover page. If the student does not understand anything about formatting the cover page, he/she can contact the teacher.
- Use only one type of font on the cover page while mentioning the title. Using multiple fonts on the same page decreases the readability of the page. If you are required to use more than one font, make sure that you don’t use more than two fonts on the page for mentioning the title.
- The entire text of the cover page should be aligned either on the right side or on the left side. If you put the text on the page randomly, you will not be able to make it easy for the reader to read the cover page.
- The cover page should be formatted appropriately. You can search on the internet or ask your teacher about the format. The format may vary with the subject.
- Don’t add too many images on the cover page. The cover page is meant to grab the attention of the reader. It never is able to serve its purpose if you will make it a page over-crowded with images making it a funky document instead of a professional document which is meant to be submitted to the teacher.

Printable Summer Vacation Journal
Summer vacation is for relaxing, having fun, and making memories. That doesn’t mean you can’t sneak in a little writing practice at the same time. This printable summer vacation journal is a cute way for kids to explore writing and keep track of special summer experiences.

There’s some statistic that says kids lose a big chunk of what they’ve learned over summer vacation. I don’t know whether that’s really true (every kid is different, right?), but I do think that it doesn’t hurt to practice a few things over the summer, like writing and creative thinking.
I made this summer vacation journal with that in mind. It has space for writing on every page, plus most of the pages also have room to paste a photo or draw an illustration.

Summer vacation journal
This printable summer vacation journal includes eight pages of writing prompts, plus a cover page. Elementary kids (and maybe older ones too) will enjoy writing about what they did on special days. Print extra pages and use them all summer long or just write about a special vacation trip.
There are some pages for writing about a special day or trip.
I included some writing prompts to encourage creative writing – like planning a dream vacation. Some have boxes to draw pictures or attach photos and postcards.
And I also created 2 pages that are completely blank so you can use them however you want. Lastly, there is a page of circles that can be printed on label or sticker paper.
Whether you’re taking a big trip or spending the lazy days of summer at home, I think this is a fun way to keep the kids busy and document the fun. I’m also hoping that it will spark some creativity on days when my kids inevitably tell me that they are bored.
Printable journal
There are 10 pages, plus a page of stickers. I designed this to fit on regular 8.5×11-inch paper, but it prints pretty large so it would be easy to scale it down to fit 2 or 4 pages to a sheet of paper. You can also print extra copies of specific pages by adjusting the page range on your printer.
Note: I updated this printable since taking photos. The design is the same, but the chunky font has been replaced with Arial so it’s easier to read.
