Here you’ll find all of the Masterwork Research: Wish Granted quest steps in Pokémon Go. It’s a special research quest, and has been designed to take a good amount of time to complete, so feel free to take your time when completing this quest.

The Masterwork Research: Wish Granted quest was only available until Monday 20th March 2023 from the in-game Pokémon Go store and you had to buy a ticket to access it.

It’s also important to note that players who attended the Go Tour: Hoenn Las Vegas event will have a slightly different version of this quest, which will see them encountering shiny Jirachi earlier on in the questline. For this reason, the following information will not be applicable if you attended the Go Tour: Hoenn Las Vegas event .

Tips on how to complete the Masterwork Research: Wish Granted in Pokémon Go

Here are some tips which will help you complete Masterwork Research: Wish Granted:

• Since you’re going to be catching a lot of Pokémon for the Step 1 of Wish Granted, make sure you use your Daily Adventure Incense , Lure Modules and Incense to find a wide range of Pokémon from the first three generations.
• If you’re having trouble getting the gold Hoenn medal, try trading with other players for the Gen 3 Pokémon you’re missing and using Remote Raid Passes to grab the legendaries you might be missing when they appear in raids.

Masterwork Research: Wish Granted is the third Masterwork Research quest to be released in Pokémon Go and offers you the chance to catch a shiny Jirachi.

Like the previous Masterwork Research quests - All-in-One #151 and Apex - it is a pay-to-play quest. Unlike these quests, however, you only need to purchase a ticket for the quest itself and not for a Go Tour event, which, in 2023, is free for all players.

Tickets for Masterwork Research: Wish Granted cost £4.99, $4.99 or the equivalent price for your local region. These tickets are nonrefundable and can not be purchased using PokéCoin.

Tickets will also be on sale until Monday 20th March at the following times:

• UK - 5pm (GMT)
• Europe - 6pm (CET)
• East Coast US - 1pm (EDT)
• West Coast US - 10am (PST)

Once you’ve purchased a ticket, you’ll be granted access to the Masterwork Research quest and will be able to complete it at your own pace since it has no deadline.

It’s important to note that players who attended the Go Tour: Hoenn Las Vegas event will have a different experience completing this research quest. This is because they will have to complete fewer quest steps to encounter shiny Jirachi compared to other players.

Finally, while Masterwork Research quests are designed to take a good amount of time to finish, progressing through one works exactly the same as a traditional special research quest. This means you will still have to complete a set of challenges to earn the quest step’s reward on repeat until you’ve finished the quest itself.

There will be multiple steps to complete this Masterwork Research, so expect to put in a reasonable amount of effort. All Masterwork Research: Wish Granted tasks and rewards in Pokémon Go

There are going to be six steps in total for this Masterwork Research. Although there are only six steps, each task takes considerable time to complete. For example, the first three tasks for the Masterwork is to catch 385 Pokémon from the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions, which means you need to encounter these Pokémon in the wild. They have random spawn chances, and a handful of them might have increased opportunities to appear during weekly events, but discovering 385 is a grueling task that could take some players several weeks to months to complete.

Masterwork Research: Wish Granted is the Special Research for catching Shiny Jirachi . It was given to Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn - Las Vegas Ticket holders. Global Trainers could purchase it for US $4.99 in the Shop from February 20 th , 2023 at 10 a.m. PST until March 20 th , 2023, at 10 a.m. PST.

The requirements for certain tasks differ based on how this Special Research was obtained. If obtained through the global Ticket, certain tasks had their requirements increased.

• TRAINER , great to see you!
• And what perfect timing—the Wish Pokémon Jirachi is in the area!
• Hoenn legends say that Jirachi can grant any wish that people desire, though it’s only awake for only seven days out of a thousand years.
• But considering there were local Jirachi sightings just a few years ago---well under a thousand years!---I hypothesize there’s something special about this Jirachi.
• We’ll only learn what it is once we locate Jirachi ourselves!
• There’s no rush, but we do have a lot of ground to cover.
• I recommend we start the search by researching Pokémon from the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions.

• It shares that honor with Kecleon, the Color Swap Pokémon! Kecleon is capable of changing its body colors at will to blend in with its surroundings.
• There is one exception—this Pokémon can't change the zigzag pattern on its belly. It’s not easy, but looking for that distinctive pattern is the key to spotting Kecleon.
• I was years into my Pokémon studies before I came across my first Kecleon.
• Have you come across a Kecleon before? You might even have been right next to one without knowing!
• I’ve heard Trainers have had a lot of luck finding Kecleon around PokéStops. Maybe Jirachi’s taken up the same proclivity for hiding places!
• You’ve got sharp eyes, TRAINER ! I’ve never seen so many Kecleon in one place before—it’s rare to see any Kecleon at all, with their expert camouflaging skills.
• Unfortunately for us, it’s starting to seem like Jirachi might be even harder to spot than Kecleon.

Here's how you can get Shiny Jirachi in Pokemon GO

Jirachi has been available in Pokemon GO since 2019, but only for the wider player base via the Special Research story, A Thousand-Year Slumber.

However, that was only Jirachi in its normal form. Now, the Shiny version of the Wish Pokemon will be available as well. Here is everything you need to know on how to get your own with the Shiny Jirachi debut.

How do you get Shiny Jirachi?

In Pokemon GO , you will be able to get Shiny Jirachi from Monday, 20 February 2023. To get Shiny Jirachi, you need to buy and complete the Masterwork Research story - the tickets for which will be available to purchase at the in-game shop for $4.99 or your local currency's equivalent.

Along with "an opportunity to take on difficult challenges and daunting tasks", as specified on the Pokemon GO site , participating players are guaranteed to encounter Shiny Jirachi.

Tickets will only be available to buy from Monday, 20 February 2023 at 10AM PST to Monday, 20 March 2023 at 10AM PST. However, after you've bought the ticket, you'll have unlimited time to complete the Special Research and get your Shiny Jirachi.

So, don't worry about any deadlines after you've bought your Shiny Jirachi ticket.

Are you ready to embark on an exciting adventure in Pokemon GO? Look no further than the Masterwork Research quest! This quest is one of the most sought-after quests in the game, as completing it will reward players with a shiny Jirachi encounter. But beware, completing the quest won’t be an easy feat. There are six stages to complete, each with its own unique tasks and rewards.

Event ticket is available from Monday, Feb 20, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. (local time) until Monday, Mar 20, 2023 (local time) for $4.99 USD in your in-game shop.

Once players have completed all six stages of the Masterwork Research quest, they will be rewarded with a shiny Jirachi encounter . This rare and powerful Pokemon is a must-have for any serious Pokemon GO fan out there.

We currently do not have the complete tasks list and rewards for all six stages of the Masterwork Research. We are continuously working to uncover all the relevant information, and as soon as we get more details, we will update this guide accordingly so be sure to check back.

Tip: Using incense and taking advantage of spotlight hours or community days can be an effective way to complete the first part of the quest. You will likely have to use a lot of incense and go around to areas with high Pokemon spawn rates to catch this large amount of Pokemon. Using a Pokemon Go Plus device will help immensely in achieving this.

• Have 10 Best Buddies – 1x Poffin
• Earn a heart with your Buddy 20 days in a row – 1x Poffin

Tip: Try to fill your buddy hearts daily. If needed, use Poffin to speed this process up. If you haven’t gotten up to this point in your quest yet, you can still preemptively begin reaching best friends with your buddy.

• 3x Rare Candy
• Spin a PokeStop 20 days in a row
• Catch 10 Kecleon

Tip: This portion of the quest will require you to visit PokeStops for consecutive days, which means even on weekends, you’d have to at least go out just to spin a Pokestop. Occasionally, a Kecleon will spawn on a PokeStop Photo Disc. This will not work when using a Pokemon Go Plus device, so you will have to manually spin stops to find Kecleon.

The Pokemon GO Tour: Hoenn has launched and with it has come many highs and many lows. But attendees (both physical and virtual) have the opportunity to complete an event-locked Master Work Research with the ultimate prize being a Shiny Jirachi. Here are all the Research Tasks and Rewards for the Wish Granted Masterwork Research in Pokemon GO.

Trainers who are hoping to get Shiny Jirachi need only run to the in-game shop. There, for $4.99, trainers can purchase a ticket for a Masterwork Research encounter, which will be available from February 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM PST until Monday, March 20, 2023, at 10:00 AM PST.

Trainers who attended the Las Vegas event will have an abridged version of this Masterwork Research, available at the in-person event. Those trainers will not be able to buy an in-game ticket. One Jirachi per player!

Once you’ve purchased the ticket, you can begin your arduous quest for this wish-granting legendary! Here are all the Research Tasks you can expect:

All Research Tasks for Wish Granted Masterwork Research (Shiny Jiarchi) in Pokemon GO

There are six distinct steps you’ll need to take, with each step ending with a variety of item rewards and Pokémon Encounters.

But these aren’t easy tasks and, as of now, we don’t know all six steps . That’s because the second step is time-gated. It’s likely we’ll spend several months slowly unlocking each step. But as of February 20, 2023, here’s what we know:

Step 1 of 6

Upon completing all four tasks you’ll also receive: 10 Kyogre Candy, 10 Groudon Candy, 10 Rayquaza Candy.

Step 2 of 6

Upon completing all two tasks you’ll also receive: 3850 EXP and Rare Candy x 3.

We’ll have to wait two more weeks to see what step three will bring. And while it’s not guaranteed, we feel confident saying that Shiny Jiarchi will be the pot of gold at the end of this long rainbow. They’ve splashed its image everywhere, so it’d be kind of cruel if it wasn’t.

Why can’t I evolve my Feebas? I have 100 Candy.

In order to evolve a Feebas in to a Milotic, you need 100 Feebas Candy AND walk the Feebas as your Buddy for 20 km.

I got my 7-Day PokéStop streak. Why isn’t it letting me progress?

You must spin a PokéStop 7 days in a row for the research task. Your 7-day PokéStop streak to reward more items doesn’t count towards this streak.

I already evolved a Feebas. Will that count towards the task?

No, you must evolve a Feebas when you reach that step in the Special Research.

Pokémon Go is hosting its yearly “Sustainability Week” event, incentivizing players to walk around and go green from April 22-26 .

The event this year is a little peculiar, as there are no specific boosted spawns to go with it. There are, however, quite a few bonuses running during the event period, focusing on your buddy Pokémon .

Buddies will bring presents and souvenirs more often, and they’ll stay on the map walking alongside you for longer after you feed them. They’ll also earn hearts from walking twice as fast.

Notably, Combee , Drilbur, Trubbish, Foongus, and Binacle hatched from eggs obtained during the event will also have a higher chance to be shiny.

Below we list out the other event perks that are part of Pokémon Go ’s “Sustainability Week” event.

Pokémon Go ‘Sustainability Week 2024’ event Collection Challenge

There are a few Collection Challenges to complete that involve you catching and evolving specific Pokémon.

Collection Challenge: Drilbur

• Catch a Drilbur
• Evolve Drilbur into Excadrill

Rewards : 10,000 XP, 5,000 Stardust

Collection Challenge: Trubbish

• Catch a Trubbish
• Evolve Trubbish into Garbodor

Pokémon Go ‘Sustainability Week 2024’ event Field Research and rewards

Spinning a PokéStop during the event period may yield one of these tasks:

• Catch 5 Pokémon (Binacle encounter)
• Catch 10 Pokémon (Foongus encounter)
• Explore 1 km (Trubbish encounter)
• Explore 2 km (Drilbur encounter)
• Hatch an egg (Combee encounter)
