My School Paragraph for Class 3

My school has a beautiful campus with two big playgrounds. One is at the front and the other behind the school building. I play dodge-ball with my friends at one of the playgrounds. We also play cricket, football, hide-and-seek in the playground. My school has several small gardens. There are roses, sunflowers, and marigolds in these gardens. These flowers make my school look even more beautiful.

The classrooms in my school are big and tidy. There are big and wide windows for good ventilation. We have green boards, chalk, dusters and projectors in all the classrooms. Apart from classrooms, we also have practical labs, an art and craft room, music room and staff rooms. We also have a big library with books on a variety of subjects. All the competitions take place in the auditorium of my school. The auditorium is very big with hundreds of chairs.

My school has lots of great teachers. They love all of us. They teach us well and help us whenever we have any doubt. They teach us subjects like Maths, English, Hindi, EVS, etc. They always maintain a happy and fun environment in the school. I truly love my school very much.

Class 3 students can write a great ‘My School’ essay by focusing on their favorite class, subject, teacher, and activities. Students often forget to mention the morning prayer, a vital activity of the day; mentioning it can make them realize it is important.

The centre of education or often called the temple of education is the place we all are familiar with is a school. Schools not only instil formal education and shape us into better people, but also make us capable of profoundly impacting this world. Here are a few sample essays on “Our School”.

100 Words Essay On Our School

Schooling is a necessary step in making a child aware of the world around him and growing into a responsible human. It is a platform to learn, do better in life and develop your personality. Our school, St. Louis Convent School, was built between lush green fields in the suburbs.

It has three large buildings, each divided for different purposes, i.e., playgroup, junior and senior block. Surrounded by these three buildings is our huge school playground, which has basketball, tennis, and a badminton court. My favourite area was the swingset installed in a separate corner of the garden. My school was like my second home, and I always enjoyed going to school.

200 Words Essay On Our School

Our school is the most prominent building in the town. It is a Christian convent school, and therefore it also has a beautiful Catholic Church. Our school has lush green and tall palm trees in the front and a beautiful garden in the back. It also has a vast playground where all the students gather to eat lunch and play different sports, such as cricket and football. I enjoy lunchtime most when I meet my friends from other sections.

Our school also has a massive auditorium with 500 seats. It is famous for its annual function in the whole town. Our school is renowned for its many societies and clubs. I am a member of the dance club and often perform on the stage of the auditorium.

My favourite go-to place in the school is the library. Our school library is very big. It has 25 shelves and thousands of books from every genre. I enjoy reading encyclopaedias very much. I go to the library daily. We can also borrow the books we like from the library.

Last year, our school also won the “Best School Of The Town Award”. Everyone was very happy, and the principal distributed sweets and candies among the children. It was an award well deserved.

School is the place where many of us get to learn friendship and make the first friends of our lives. We also learn so many things the first time - spelling, reading, sports, reciting, and so countless other basic skills we have acquired can be traced back to our school lives.

History Of My School

Our school is a Christian convent missionary school. It was established 50 years ago by an NGO from Kerala. The majority of teachers at my school are Christian, yet the school boasts of a relatively diverse student group from all religions, castes and social statuses.

It is one of the most renowned schools in the city. Our school often finds itself in the achievements section of the newspapers. It is very active and has been giving the city toppers in class 10 and 12 board exams for the last few decades. It has also received many awards and recognitions. I am very glad to be part of this school.

Sports Facility

Our school is a co-ed school with almost an equal ratio of girls to boys. It is famous for its sports teams, especially the badminton and karate teams that went on to win national-level competitions. Our playground is huge and equipped with state-of-the-art sports equipment. We have a basketball court, a tennis court, and a badminton court. Cricket and football clubs also function very well in our school. Our school also excels in indoor sports. The state champion of table tennis is from our school only. We have national-level chess players. Recently a huge swimming pool was inaugurated in our school, and I am sure that we will soon see awards and medals in swimming competitions too.

Extra Curricular Activities

Apart from sports, our school boasts many other societies and clubs. The most renowned are the music, art, and the theatre club. A group of performers went to do a theatre play in Russia from our school last week. Our school also has modern and updated computer labs and of course the chemistry, physics and biology labs. Our school conducts NGO drives occasionally. It has been tied up with the Robin Hood Army and sends delegates of students weekly. We also have very active NSS and NCC clubs functioning in the school.

Teachers And Principal

The teachers of our school are highly qualified and are led by an equally qualified but more experienced principal. Anoop Kumar has been our principal for the last 25 years. Under his guidance and leadership, our school has managed to grow so rapidly and become the best among the other schools. It has been my privilege to study in such a world-class and fantastic school. I will be forever grateful to my guardians for giving me such an opportunity.

Moreover, not a moment I remember, when any teacher had ever replied rudely to any of the students. They always patiently listen and provide answers to all the queries posed to them. Learning at my school is fun and it is made possible only because of the teachers.

My school is very important in my life, in a way even more than my family. My family gives me love, care, and affection, and provides for all my other essential needs. But, all of this isn’t enough to make me a good human being and succeed in life. Favorably, I am lucky enough to be enrolled in a prestigious school, and gaining a wonderful education, looking forward to realizing my dreams one day. The most necessary for success in life is education, and only my school provides it to me. Without my school and the education that it gives, I would be like a confused and wandering soul, almost aimless in life.

My school helps with my educational and overall personality development. It imparts education through classes, tests, and exams to teach me how to conduct myself confidently. The role my school plays in my personality development is fantastic. It not only imparts education in me but also teaches me how to conduct myself and how to behave decently and properly. I get trained in all the other necessary skills of life, like how to keep calm in challenging situations and help others as well. My school teaches me to be a good and evolved human being, to stay composed and progressive always. It also teaches me to be kind and generous to others and not differentiate them based on their caste, religion, ethnicity, or other divisions. These are some of the most essential personality traits that my school imparts to me, something that I will always be thankful for. Every time I think of my school, I think of it as a temple of education. A temple, where my soul meets education, making my life more meaningful and useful to society and the nation as well. It is a place where my aspirations get a wing and I get the strength and confidence to realize them. No other place in the entire world could replace my school and the role that it plays in my life. The name of my school is (NAME OF SCHOOL). It is one of the most famous schools in my city. The buildings in my school are very big and very nice to see. My class is in a clean, beautiful building that has three floors. There are many school buses in my school for students and teachers. There is a GPS tracker on each bus so no one will get lost.

There is also a big playground with many plants and trees in which we play every day. My school is very clean and full of greenery and I like to study here. My school has an auditorium where we assemble for prayer every day in the morning. All the competitions are done here. It also has a big lab where we learn how chemicals behave.

My school has many classrooms whose walls are painted with many nice designs. The library of my school has many interesting books that I like to read. I have many friends in my school, and we play together during lunch break.

My school has a computer lab, music and craft room. All the students can use computers for their studies. I also like playing the organ when we have music class. Maybe I will ask my mother to let me go for organ lessons. All the classrooms are airy and there are ACs and fans in each room. They also have a generator so we never have to feel hot if there is no current.

My school has the best teachers in the world. Our teachers are very affectionate and caring, and they teach us very politely and make us learn subjects in very creative and attractive ways. If we have any doubt in any subject, the teachers help us at any time. They make sure that we are healthy and happy.

We celebrate national events like Republic Day, Independence Day, Children’s Day, Teacher’s Day etc. at school with great joy and costumes. For Teacher’s Day I dressed up like my maths teacher, Rao sir.

On 11 December 2023, the Indian Prime Minister launched the Viksit Bharat @2047 scheme via a video conferencing platform. In this video conference, he declared the formal launch of this scheme along with its four pillars: Yuva (Youth), Garib (Poor), Mahila (Women) and Kisan (Framers).

Viksit Bharat represents a blueprint for India’s development. It aims to achieve the ‘India Great’ target by the year 2047; which was termed as ‘Amrit Kaal’. To achieve the Viksit Bharat objectives, the Indian Prime Minister aims to enable every Indian citizen to participate in the country’s development at their own level. PM Modi’s vision is strong and sustainable, where every individual will be offered decent living standards and an opportunity to serve their mother country.

The government is encouraging investors to invest in India for advanced economic growth in the subsequent years. The sub-schemes launched under this mission show the government’s dedication to creating a favourable environment for economic growth and business development.

The government is constantly encouraging the youth to actively participate in the government’s schemes and engage in entrepreneurial activities. 'UK school art curriculum should reflect diversity efforts in our institutions'

Research by the runnymede trust found that only 2.3% of artists named in gcse art papers over the last five years were black or asian.

In the UK, we have recently enjoyed a wealth of long-overdue solo and group exhibitions celebrating the rich and varied practices of minority ethnic artists at the heart of our shared visual culture. However, our research with Runnymede Trust exposed that the picture of this visual culture presented in schools looks like a different universe. Only 2.3% of artists named in GCSE art papers over the last five years were Black or Asian, and some exams did not reference a single non-white artist. Over three years, we spoke to teachers, students and artists across England to understand what and how young people are taught in art lessons, and why this narrow curriculum is so disconnected from the ideas and practices flourishing in the sector.

Addressing the class

Beyond the stark absences in GCSE papers, we met art teachers preparing students for these exams whilst themselves desperately lacking in confidence and support. Only four out of ten surveyed felt sure of the correct language to use when discussing minority ethnic artists and their work, and a third had never encountered the practices of any minority ethnic artists in their own education and training. Suffocated and beleaguered by years of underfunding, mismanagement, devaluing of their subject and risk-averse cultures, art teachers are leaving the profession in record numbers. Those who remain discussed with us the struggle to realise the broad, inspiring curriculum to which they aspired.

Art as luxury

Equally, our research uncovered the bleak reality of a generation of young people educated to see visual art as an archaic luxury with no currency in the real world. Only 6% of students surveyed felt they could relate to artists introduced in the classroom, and less than 10% that art helped them understand their own lives. This preconception extended beyond students to families unable to see a value to studying Art & Design, with Black and Asian students in particular facing parental pressure to ‘focus on other subjects’ at four times the rate of their white peers. Against this desolate landscape, the voices of contemporary artists reflecting on the impact of their own art education illuminated the transformative potential of the subject, and how far current experiences are falling short. In the "artist's voices" section of the report, alongside Simeon Barclay, Rana Begum, Chila Burman, Hardeep Pandhal, Rene Matic and Keith Piper, Harold Offeh spoke of a state school art education that “was relevant and vital, equipping me with tools to reflect on my place in the world, communicate and contribute to it. I was empowered to make, think, play and do.”

The message from both students and teachers was clear: today’s art education is unfit for purpose. Everyone suffers the consequence of a woefully narrow and uninspiring curriculum, and minority ethnic students experience an intersectional impact of these failings. 66% of students across all ethnicities (80% of Black students) asked for more diverse artists in their lessons, and 90% of teachers would welcome additional support to deliver this. We as a cultural sector have a responsibility to act now to support them in this change.

The message from both students and teachers was clear: today’s art education is unfit for purpose.

Runnymede Trust has set out clear practical recommendations toward enacting this much-needed shift in art education. Some, such as redressing the diversity of exams, are already underway, with two providers (Pearsons and Eduqas) having committed to a target of at least 25% minority ethnic artists in all papers from 2025. Some will be less immediate, working toward structural change in how art education is taught, and its value understood across society; but they are nonetheless urgent and, I believe, achievable. The art sector has a vital role also, in connecting teachers and schools with the full breadth of practices and ideas through meaningful, innovative programmes that go beyond formulaic museum visits. Freelands Foundation hopes to work with partners across the field to move this change forward: artists come from, and represent, an increasingly diverse society and we must all play our part to ensure that art education reflects this.
