Hinweise zur Betreuung von Abschlussarbeiten (BA/MA) an der Professur für Wirtschaftswissenschaften und ihre Didaktik an der Europa-Universität Flensburg

Allgemeines.

Im Folgenden erhalten Studierende, die sich für das Schreiben einer Abschlussarbeit (BA/MA) an der Professur für Wirtschaftswissenschaften und ihre Didaktik interessieren, Hinweise zu formalen Anforderungen, zum Betreuungsprozedere sowie zu möglichen Themenbereichen. Die nachfolgenden Informationen sind als Hilfestellungen für einen erfolgreichen Schreibprozess zu verstehen. Die Einhaltung der formulierten Regelungen soll in Kombination mit der intensiven und konstruktiven Zusammenarbeit mit der Betreuerin/dem Betreuer zum Gelingen der Abschlussarbeit beitragen.

Formale Voraussetzungen

Grundlegende Informationen zur Bachelor-/Master-Thesis sind der jeweiligen Prüfungsordnung zu entnehmen.

Der Umfang der Arbeit kann – je nach Themenbereich – variieren, sollte aber i.d.R. bei einer Bachelor-Thesis 30 Seiten, bei einer Master-Thesis 40 Seiten nicht unterschreiten.

Zwingende Voraussetzung für eine erfolgreiche Qualifikationsarbeit ist das anfängliche Formulieren des Forschungsinteresses.

Mögliche Themenbereiche

Zu bearbeitende Themenbereiche sollten im Interesse des Studierenden liegen.

Ein wirtschaftswissenschaftlicher Bezug des Themas ist obligatorisch. Das konkrete Thema der Abschlussarbeit und das damit verbundene Forschungsinteresse sind vor Beginn mit der Betreuerin/dem Betreuer abzustimmen.

Die offizielle Anmeldung der Abschlussarbeit sollte erst erfolgen, wenn mit der Betreuerin/dem Betreuer das generelle Thema, Forschungsinteresse sowie Zeitplan besprochen wurden.

Es gibt zu viele Dinge und Abgaben (mit zu hohen Ansprüchen), die neben dem Studium erledigt werden müssen, wodurch man die anderen Fächer (man hat immer 2 + Pädagogik) vernachlässigen muss. Wenn man dann noch neben dem Studium arbeiten muss, ist es einfach zu viel.

Modern und abwechslungsreich

Wir hatten sehr interessante Wahlseminare in Public history oder auch zu Erinnerungskultur. Unsere Dozenten sind jung und motiviert, die Kommunikation läuft sehr gut und man fühlt sich wohl. Auch die Fachschaft ist sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend! Außerdem fühlt man sich sehr gut und kompetent ausgebildet.

Durchalten lohnt sich

Die ersten 2 Semester im MA sind Hard. Aber es wird besser und die Lehre ist gut und die Dozenten sind Fachlich sehr kompetent. Besonders gut ist die Praxisorientierung, sodass man wirklich gut darauf vorbereitet ist an die Schule zu gehen und zu Unterrichten. Dies ist durch die Abgeordneten Lehrkräfte gut gegeben.

Fordert mehr, gibt mehr

Im Vergleich mit anderen Fächern wird im Fach Geschichte deutlich mehr abverlangt. So leisten die Studierenden hier teilweise 50% mehr für die gleichen CP. Allerdings wird dieser Mehraufwand meistens gut und meiner Einschätzung nach auch richtig begründet.

2) Thema finden und anmelden

In Absprache mit Ihrer Professorin oder Ihrem Professor formulieren Sie eine Themenstellung und suchen sich einen Zweitprüfer oder eine Zweitprüferin. Mit der von beiden Prüfenden unterschriebenen Anmeldung gehen Sie zum Prüfungsmanagement. Hier wird sofort geprüft, ob Sie alle nötigen Voraussetzungen (Prüfungen, Praktika, Credit Points etc.) erfüllen. Ist dies der Fall, gilt Ihre Thesis als angemeldet und die Frist für den Bearbeitungszeitraum läuft.

Welche Voraussetzungen Sie genau erfüllen müssen und wieviel Zeit Sie haben, um Ihre Abschlussarbeit zu schreiben, können Sie in der für Sie gültigen Prüfungs- und Studienordnung Ihres Studiengangs nachlesen. Natürlich hilft Ihnen bei Fragen auch das Team des Prüfungsmanagements gern weiter.

3) Die fertige Thesis abgeben

Ist die Bearbeitungszeit beendet und Ihre Abschlussarbeit fertig, geben Sie drei Exemplare Ihrer Thesis im Prüfungsmanagement ab. Ihre Arbeit wird dann an die Prüfenden weitergeleitet, die sechs Wochen Zeit haben, sie zu lesen und zu bewerten.

4) Bewertung & Kolloquium

Innerhalb von zwei Wochen nach der Bewertung sollte das Kolloquium stattfinden, das ebenfalls in Ihre Abschlussnote einfließt. Hier haben Sie noch einmal die Möglichkeit sich und Ihr Thema von der besten Seite zu präsentieren und Ihren Prüfenden Rede und Antwort zu stehen.
