Describing my room essay: sample for students.

Admin

The door is white, with some scratches at the bottom from my pug scraping it with her claws. My pug scratches the door when she wants to come into my room. The door handle is brown and metal. At the complete bottom of the door is a rubber flap, which I do not know the reason why it is there. The room is about three lengths of my arm span, including the closet.

The floor in my room is wooden, and it creaks when stepped on. However, I do have one white, plush carpet approximately in the middle of the floor. It is rather clean-looking, considering it is white and that it is not washed regularly.

To the left of the door is a leather chair, of which is of no particular use, besides hanging half-used clothes on it. Past the chair is my electronic station, where I charge my phone at night, and charge my shaver during the day. Also, center-left is a rectangular window overlooking our backyard garden and swimming pool. It is a pleasant view for a cold room.

Center-left and far-left is my queen-size bed, with white and grey covers, and white and other colors for the blanket. The blanket in particular has a floral design and is heavy. My pillow has a white case and nothing else to it. The frame of the bed is wooden and beige in color.

Above, to the right of the bed, is a narrow, elongated window, which allows one to view the sky and neighbor’s fence. On the sill, there is a candle lamp, of which I never use. I can often find dead insects on the sill as well, such as flies.

Below that window is my meditation altar to the right, and a small table to the left of the altar, which houses books and random papers. It is barely big enough to hold these books and papers in an organized fashion. My meditation altar is covered in a red cotton cloth and features a picture of my meditation teacher. There is a candle in front of the picture of my teacher.

To the right of the altar is my closet, which contains a rack of sweaters, a suit, scarfs, and belts. There is also a brown, lean dresser, which has the rest of my clothes in it. On the floor, below the rack, there are miscellaneous items, such as an extra blanket, shoes, and hair oil. Right before the closet on the left of it, and before the altar, is my tabla drums, replete with a hammer and a small bottle of talcum powder.

The walls are all white, except the back room, which is covered with a blue, mosaic-patterned cloth. The curtains over the large window are also white and see-through, which almost defeat the purpose of having them. The ceiling is white, but with black blotches above the meditation altar because of candle and incense smoke.

It is one of the coldest rooms in our house, as the windows are quite old and thin, and lack insulation. During autumn and winter, sometimes a heater is brought in to feel comfortable. However, with enough heavy blankets, sleep is manageable.

It is a simple room without much purpose other than sleeping, meditating, and playing percussion. But I am a down-to-earth person, and it matches what I need.

how to describe a messy living room

Imagine coming home after a long day at work, just wanting to relax and unwind in your own personal sanctuary. However, as soon as you step through the door, you are greeted by a chaotic scene of cluttered surfaces, misplaced objects, and a general sense of disarray. This is the unfortunate reality of a messy living room.

What You'll Learn

What are some common adjectives used to describe a messy living room, how can you describe the clutter and disorganization in a messy living room, what are some details that can help paint a vivid picture of a messy living room, are there any specific smells or odors that are often associated with a messy living room, how can you describe the overall feeling or atmosphere of a messy living room.

shunshelter

A messy living room can be a source of stress and frustration for many people. It can make it difficult to find things, create a less welcoming atmosphere, and even pose health hazards if left uncleaned for too long. When describing a messy living room, there are several common adjectives that can be used to paint a clear picture.

  • Cluttered: This is perhaps the most common adjective used to describe a messy living room. It indicates that there are objects scattered around haphazardly, creating a visually chaotic and disorganized space. Items may be piled up on surfaces, such as tables and chairs, or strewn across the floor.
  • Disorganized: This adjective suggests a lack of order and structure in the living room. It implies that items are not arranged in a logical or systematic manner, making it challenging to locate specific things when needed. The living room may appear messy due to this lack of organization.
  • Untidy: This adjective denotes a space that is not neatly arranged and lacks cleanliness. It can refer to a living room with items out of place, such as clothes or books left lying around, or with dust and dirt accumulating on surfaces.
  • Chaotic: This adjective describes a living room that is in a state of disorder and confusion. It implies a random arrangement of items and a general lack of control over the space. A chaotic living room may have a mix of different objects, such as toys, dishes, and papers, scattered throughout without any clear purpose or arrangement.
  • Cluttered: This adjective is similar to the first one but emphasizes the presence of excessive objects or belongings in the living room. A cluttered living room may have too many items for the available storage space, resulting in a crowded and messy appearance.
  • Dirty: This adjective indicates that the living room is not clean and may have dirt, dust, or stains on surfaces or objects. A dirty living room can give the impression of neglect and a lack of attention to cleanliness.
  • Disheveled: This adjective suggests a living room that appears unkempt and untidy. It may refer to furniture or cushions that are out of place, curtains that are not properly hung, or rugs that are wrinkled and disordered.

To better illustrate these adjectives, let's consider an example. Imagine a living room with clothes strewn across the floor, papers and books piled up on the coffee table, dirty dishes scattered on the couch, and toys scattered all around. It would be accurate to describe this living room as cluttered, disorganized, untidy, chaotic, dirty, and disheveled.

In conclusion, when describing a messy living room, several adjectives can be used to convey the level of disorder and untidiness. Each of these adjectives paints a slightly different picture, but together they provide a comprehensive description of the state of the living room.

When describing a cluttered and disorganized living room, one can notice several key aspects that contribute to the overall disarray. From a scientific perspective, clutter and disorganization can have negative effects on mental well-being and overall productivity.

First, the clutter itself refers to the presence of excessive items scattered throughout the room. These items may include things like books, papers, toys, and various objects that lack a designated place for storage. The sheer volume of objects can create a sense of visual overwhelm. The room appears chaotic, with no clear path or order.

In terms of disorganization, it refers to the lack of structure and system in arranging the items in the living room. This can be observed through mismatched furniture arrangements, misplaced items, and an absence of logical organization. For example, books may be stacked haphazardly on coffee tables or couches instead of being neatly placed on bookshelves.

From an experiential standpoint, walking into a cluttered living room can evoke feelings of stress and unease. The visual and physical clutter in the space can make it difficult for individuals to relax and unwind. The disorganization can also lead to frustration when trying to locate specific items or complete tasks within the room.

Furthermore, the step-by-step process of describing a messy living room would involve identifying the different areas of clutter and disorganization. One might start by noting the presence of piles of clothing or other objects on the floor. The next step would be to analyze the arrangement of furniture, noting any misplaced or unnecessary items. The state of surfaces, such as countertops, tables, and shelves, should also be assessed for clutter and disarray.

To provide a concrete example, one might describe a messy living room as having clothes strewn across the floor, with no distinguishable pathway to navigate through the space. The shelves may be overcrowded with books and knick-knacks, and there may be an accumulation of mail and papers on the coffee table. The furniture may be arranged in a disorganized manner, blocking access to certain areas of the room.

In summary, a cluttered and disorganized living room can be described as having excessive items scattered throughout with no logical organization or system in place. This can lead to feelings of stress and frustration and hinder one's ability to relax or be productive in the space. By using scientific knowledge, personal experience, a step-by-step analysis, and concrete examples, one can effectively describe the clutter and disorganization in a messy living room.

Decorating Ideas for a Small Living Room with Knotty Pine Walls

A messy living room can be a chaotic and overwhelming sight. Clutter and disorganization can create a sense of unease and can even affect one's mood and overall well-being. To paint a vivid picture of a messy living room, various details can be examined, from the physical aspects to the psychological impact it can have on individuals.

Firstly, the physical appearance of a messy living room is a key element in describing its state. Imagine walking into a room where newspapers, magazines, and books are scattered across the floor, forming a disheveled and haphazard stack. The coffee table is covered in empty cups and plates, displaying remnants of past meals. Pillows and blankets are carelessly thrown about, covering the couch in a disarray of mismatched colors and patterns. The shelves are overflowing with trinkets, knick-knacks, and other items, creating a sense of visual clutter. A layer of dust covers the surfaces, with cobwebs stretching across the corners of the room. The curtains hang askew, letting in streaks of sunlight that highlight the untidiness of the space.

In addition to the physical aspects, the emotional and psychological impact of a messy living room should also be considered. Research has shown that a cluttered environment can contribute to feelings of stress, anxiety, and even depression. As one gazes upon the chaos in a messy living room, a sense of overwhelm and helplessness can arise. The clutter becomes a constant reminder of tasks left undone and a lack of control over one's surroundings. It can also lead to difficulty in finding necessary items, further exacerbating the feelings of frustration and disarray.

Step-by-step, the messy living room can be further examined to provide a clearer picture. Start by focusing on individual objects and their placement within the room. For example, describe the random assortment of toys scattered across the floor, with building blocks mingling with stuffed animals, creating a tripping hazard. Then, move on to the various surfaces and furniture. The coffee table is cluttered with abandoned projects, half-finished puzzles, and tangled headphone cords, making it nearly impossible to find a clear space to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee. The couch, once a place of relaxation, is now a jumble of unfolded blankets and pillows, with crumbs and food stains visible on the upholstery.

To further elucidate the impact of a messy living room, consider providing specific examples. For instance, the cluttered surroundings can hinder daily activities and routines. Attempting to find a missing remote control can turn into a frustrating scavenger hunt amidst the chaos. Basic tasks like vacuuming or dusting become arduous endeavors when multiple objects need to be cleared and cleaned before actually reaching the floor or surfaces. The mess also affects social interactions, as inviting friends over becomes a source of embarrassment and shame.

In conclusion, a vivid picture of a messy living room can be formed by considering various details. The physical appearance, including objects scattered about, dust-covered surfaces, and disheveled furniture, provides a visual representation of clutter. The emotional and psychological impact of a messy living room should also be acknowledged, as it can create feelings of stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. By describing specific objects, surfaces, and their effects on daily activities, a clearer understanding of the chaos and disruption caused by a messy living room can be conveyed.

Transform Your Small Living Room with an Open Kitchen into a Stylish Haven

A messy living room can have many telltale signs, and one of those signs can be the presence of specific smells or odors. When a living room is cluttered and not properly cleaned, it can become a breeding ground for various smells that can quickly become unpleasant. Let's explore some of the common smells and odors that are often associated with a messy living room.

  • Stagnant air: A messy living room often lacks proper ventilation, especially if piles of clutter are blocking windows or air vents. This lack of air circulation can lead to stagnant air, which can contribute to a musty or stuffy smell in the room.
  • Dust: Dust is a common problem in a messy living room, especially if surfaces and items have not been properly dusted or cleaned for a long time. The accumulation of dust can create an unpleasant odor that is often described as stale or dusty.
  • Pet odors: If you have pets and their belongings are scattered around a messy living room, there can be a buildup of pet odors. These odors can come from pet beds, toys, and even accidents that may have occurred on the carpet or furniture. If not promptly cleaned up, these odors can intensify and become quite noticeable.
  • Food smells: A messy living room is often a reflection of a lack of cleanliness in general, including food spills and crumbs that may have been overlooked. Over time, these food particles can start to emit unpleasant odors, especially if they have been left to rot or decay in hidden corners or under furniture.
  • Mold and mildew: Cluttered living rooms can create the perfect environment for mold and mildew growth, especially in areas prone to moisture, such as near windows or in damp corners. Mold and mildew have a distinct, musty smell that can be quite pungent and noticeable.

To get rid of the smells and odors associated with a messy living room, follow these steps:

  • Declutter: Start by removing any unnecessary items from the room, as clutter can contribute to poor air circulation and odor buildup.
  • Clean surfaces and floors: Dust and clean all surfaces, including furniture, shelves, and floors. Use a good-quality dusting cloth or vacuum cleaner to remove dust and debris.
  • Deep clean carpets and upholstery: If there are noticeable stains or odors on carpets or upholstery, consider steam cleaning or using a carpet cleaner to remove them. This process can help eliminate trapped odors and refresh the fabric.
  • Ventilate the room: Open windows and use fans to improve air circulation in the living room. Fresh air can help remove any lingering odors and improve overall air quality.
  • Use odor absorbers: Place odor-absorbing materials, such as baking soda or activated charcoal, in strategic locations around the room to help absorb any residual smells.

By following these steps and maintaining good cleaning habits, you can ensure that your living room remains fresh and odor-free. Remember to regularly declutter and clean to prevent the buildup of smells and odors in the future.

Creative Ideas for Decorating Two Walls in Your Living Room

A messy living room can evoke a variety of feelings and create a specific atmosphere that can range from chaotic to overwhelming. The overall feeling of a messy living room is often one of disarray and clutter, which can impact our mental state and overall sense of well-being.

When we enter a messy living room, we may experience a sense of unease or stress. The visual clutter can be overwhelming and make it difficult to relax or focus on other tasks. Studies have shown that a cluttered environment can lead to increased levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, as well as feelings of distraction and lowered productivity.

The atmosphere of a messy living room is often chaotic and unbalanced. The lack of organization can make it challenging to find objects or navigate the space. This can result in a feeling of frustration or annoyance, as well as a general sense of disarray. In contrast, a clean and organized living room tends to create a more serene and peaceful atmosphere, promoting relaxation and clarity of mind.

One way to describe the overall feeling of a messy living room is by using the analogy of a tangled web. Just like a spider's web, a messy living room is filled with objects that seem to entangle and weave together, creating a sense of confusion and disorder. This can be visually overwhelming and make it challenging to find what we need or create a sense of order.

Another way to describe the atmosphere of a messy living room is by comparing it to a maze. When we enter a messy living room, we may feel like we are navigating through a labyrinth, constantly searching for a path amidst the clutter. This can result in a feeling of frustration and can make it difficult to relax or enjoy the space.

In order to create a more organized and peaceful atmosphere in a messy living room, it is important to take steps towards decluttering and organizing the space. This can involve sorting through belongings, finding proper storage solutions, and creating a system for maintaining cleanliness and order. By taking proactive steps to address the mess, we can cultivate a more serene and inviting atmosphere in our living room.

For example, one step to decluttering a messy living room could be to start by tackling one small area at a time. This could involve clearing off a coffee table or organizing a bookshelf. By breaking the task into smaller, more manageable parts, it becomes less overwhelming and more achievable. Over time, these small steps can add up to a more organized and pleasant living room environment.

By investing time and effort into creating a clean and organized living room, we can transform the overall feeling and atmosphere of the space. Not only will it promote a sense of calm and relaxation, but it can also enhance our overall well-being and productivity. So, if you find yourself in a messy living room, take the time to declutter and organize – you'll be amazed at the positive impact it can have on your surroundings and your state of mind.

My first own room came to me when I went to school. My parents allowed me to choose the design most of my room. I love bright colors, so bright wallpaper in the room, with an unobtrusive design. Tulle and curtains, too, I chose bright colors, with a light yellowish.

I have a lot of clothes: dresses, skirts, suits. I asked my parents to buy me a large closet so I could hang clothes in the closet, and it does not need to be ironed. At the bottom of the cabinet has a shelf for shoes. It is very convenient. I can remove the summer or winter shoes here, if it is not needed.

In the middle of the room, I have a large bed. Since I love the romantic style, the main focus of my room, I did the canopy. It is made of a light fabric with gold lines. When I sleep, I feel like a princess. My mom is interested in horticulture. She has a large collection of colors. Recently, I also took up the cultivation of rare flowers. Now in my room for about eight kinds of unusual colors. Beautiful plants fit perfectly into the interior of my room.

She added bright colors and make the room more to believe that my room is the best. When I’m there, I feel comfortable and confident and can distract from problems.

Short essay on my room

Essay No 4 My Room Essay(450 words):

Room, where I live, I cannot say I entirely owned as the TV set here. Parents come to me to watch TV together. As for the rest – I have a full-fledged master. My bookcase and shelves, desk, sofa, where I sleep, bedside-table, where I keep my game – everything is exactly in this room. And here it is worth a large comfortable chair. If you stay in it with his feet, it can be a long time to read your favorite book.

There in my room a small area where the tape posted on the walls different boxes, beautiful pictures, hang two cards. Tablets I collect for a long time. For example, these: “No smoking”, “Keep quiet,” “Save Energy”. They hung haphazardly. Some of them, I found myself, others gave friends. Mom promises to take them off, but I like it more. On one of the cards – our area.

The British called their own home fortress. And not without reason: after only being at home, one feels peace and tranquility. For me, this is the stronghold of my room, where I spend most of my free time. The room is comfortable because there is only what you need, there is always a procedure, and a large window lets in plenty of suns. Even if someone seems a little room, I have enough space. Near the window is a table in a light-beige tone.

I am a supporter of order, so the counter top is almost always empty. Is that on the edge may lie a small stack of books and notebook? Tall and narrow bookcase located nearby. There are many instances that started to collect my mother. Among the old, still Soviet, casements clearly distinguished, modern, glossy, that my parents bought for me. At the opposite wall – a place where I sleep: sofa with soft blue upholstery. It does not take much space.

I decompose it at night and in the morning return to its original position. Here it is worth a massive wardrobe. In it – a neat pile of my things, hangers with school and formal attire. I spend a lot of time at home, so I try to get out, to prevent too much not to focus on the right things. I love my room very much.

I love to travel without leaving home – is the town, the river which names heard, mark the places where ever happen. The room I had a very cozy. In summer there is a feeling of coolness as the sun obstruct branch chestnuts that grow under the window. In winter, the air is well heated by the hot walls of the fireplace. I like my room. And when I’m leaving for a long time, then I miss and see how going back here again.

  • description of a messy room

As I entered the room, I was almost throw back by the overwhelming wall of stench wafting from old gym socks left to ferment, the pungent odor of rotting food and random animal droppings from long dead pets. The first thins that hit my eyes like sledgehammers were empty pizza boxes in a stack to rival the empire state building, cloths on the floor that hadn't been worn in months, candy wrappers so old, they had evolved into new life forms, half completed puzzles under feet of dust, there was homework left from before the cold war, old dictionaries that lacked the words E-mail and Quiz, CDs scattered like UFOs trying to capture the wild frontier, and this was just the top layer. Underneath all this, there were old action hero figures from previous decades, old awards (the Rochester High most organized student award), old magazines with articles about Paul Newman’s first hit movie, old ‘Pac-Man’ game cartridges, pens, pencils, and paper scattered like a hurricane had hit a stationary store and dumped the contents here, old pins saying “ Vote Nixon ”, graying photos of long forgotten trips to long forgotten places. And under all the random topsoil of discarded objects rapidly deteriorating, was a knee-deep layer of mulch currently being infested with compost worms consisting of prehistoric snacks, various fossils of animals trapped in the tar pits below, insects in amber, a Viking ship or two incased in ice, and finally, my humanities project. I had been wondering where in my room I had left it.

Alex, Wow, this was a great paragraph, except you put too much information in a sentence, and it was hard to follow. You also had some run-on sentences. The way you described the messy room gave me a sharp picture on how a messy room looked like, and you also gave me more than i wanted to know on the messy room. You used alot of descriptive words, some that i never knew. The story gave a very strong view Good job, Niki

Alex, your paragraph is really really well written! I like the choices of your vocabulary and how you used them! Maybe you can summarize it alittle bit and make it more fluent. But I really like the way you make people have a vivid image about your room. Nice job!!

Here is an upgraded one: As I entered the room, I was almost thrown back by the overwhelming wall of stench wafting from old gym socks left to ferment, the pungent odour of rotting food, and random animal droppings from long-dead pets. The first things that hit my eyes like sledgehammers were empty pizza boxes in a stack to rival the Empire State Building, clothes on the floor that hadn't been worn in months, candy wrappers so old, they had evolved into new life forms, half-completed puzzles under feet of dust, there was homework left from before the cold war, old dictionaries that lacked the words E-mail and Quiz, CDs scattered like UFOs trying to capture the wild frontier, and this was just the top layer. And under all the random topsoil of discarded objects rapidly deteriorating, was a knee-deep layer of mulch currently being infested with compost worms consisting of prehistoric snacks, various fossils of animals trapped in the tar pits below, insects in amber, a Viking ship or two encased in ice, and finally, my humanities project. I had been wondering where in my room I had left it.

Descriptive Essay: My Bedroom

by Melissa (Alabama, US)

Original Text: Descriptive Essay: My Bedroom My bedroom is my favorite room in my house. I enjoy my bedroom because it describes me. The things that describe me the most in my room are the wall colors, bedroom suit, and the decorations. Over the years, my room has changed from being a “kid” room to being a “teenage” room. When I was younger my mom decorated my room. When I was younger, I could not wait until I was older so that I could decorate my room however I wanted. When I was younger I had to share a bedroom with my sister. I finally moved into my own room when my brother moved out. This seemed like one of the greatest days of my life. The smell of my room makes me think of the spring time when all of the flowers are blooming. When I enter my room I hear my radio, which reminds me of a day of listening to music and hanging out with friends. My walls are as chocolate as a Hershey bar. The reason that I chose this color brown for my room is that it matched a lot of colors and it is unusual for people to have a chocolate brown room. I also like this color because it is easy to match things with. When I was younger my bedroom was very girly and brightly painted. My wall color was yellow before we painted it. I have a wooden bedroom suit. I have a queen size bed, a nightstand, and two dressers. They all match. The comforter on my bed is pink, green, and white, and it is made by Polo Ralph Lauren. It describes the girly side of me. Before I had a queen size bed, I had a twin size bed. It was really small. I enjoy my much larger bed now. My nightstand comes in handy for storing my midnight snack and drink. The two dressers give me more space to hold my massive collection of t-shirts. My favorite thing about my bedroom is the decorations. I have many paintings in my room. The one I like the most is the collage painting. It has all the activities that I participate in such as, running, hunting, church, family, and friends. I also have many trophies in my room that describe what sports and other activities that I participate in. My favorite decoration in my room is my cork board. I have all my memories from my junior year. This is the decoration in my room that describes me the most. When I was younger the decorations in my room were baby dolls and trophies, not canvases and vases. I love my room so much more now that I get to decorate it myself. I have lots of picture frames sitting in my room with memories that my friends and I have made throughout the years. The decorations in my room help to make me happy when I am in an irritable mood. The decorations in my room help tie the room together. I have always enjoyed my room. It has always been my favorite room of my house because it describes so many aspects of my life. The three main things in my room that describe me is the wall color, bedroom suit, and decorations. My friends and I enjoy spending time in my room. We can always find something interesting to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Revised Text: Original Text: Descriptive Essay: My Bedroom My bedroom is my favorite room in my house. Bravely Exploring the Squalor of a ‘Boy Room’

Male 20-somethings are showing off their messy apartments in a video series that poses the implicit question, “You live like this?”

A triptych of TikTok screenshots. In the center panel, a smiling young woman with blond hair holds a microphone at the threshold of an apartment. The text on the screen reads: “Can we come in?” The flanking images show messy interiors: a dresser strewed with junk, and snowboarding boots resting near a stovetop.

By Frank Rojas

In her new video series, the comedian Rachel Coster explores some of the foulest, most unsightly corners of New York City. No, not the grimy sidewalks of Times Square or the platforms of especially smelly subway stations.

Ms. Coster trains her critical eye on the squalid apartments of male 20-somethings.

Dusty shelves, sweat-stained pillowcases and teetering heaps of laundry are all staples of the home dĂ©cor featured in her series, “Boy Room,” which profiles some of the most unkempt bedrooms owned by the male species.

“This series is like watching Hoarders,” one Instagram user commented on a video , “but a little more happy and sad at the same time.” Another raised a more profound question: “R men ok?????”

In a series of minute-and-a-half-long videos, Ms. Coster is led on an apartment tour by an all-too-willing participant, and she investigates the method to each room’s madness. At the end, she offers the Boy Room inhabitant simple tips that could help him declutter and generally get his domestic life on track.

@boy.room Levi, 24, Ridgewood, NY Welcome to Boy Room, the show where we investigate boys rooms. On today’s episode, @Rachel Coster travels DEEP into Ridgewood where she meets proud rat tail owner Levi, who makes tables out of fake legs. a @Gymnasium show #apartmenttour   #nyc   #messy   #boys   #boyroom   #comedy   #funny   #hoarders   #newyork #dirty ♬ original sound - Boy Room

“I’ve been going on dates since I was, like, 18,” Ms. Coster said. “By going to people’s houses, not knowing them that well and their room is such an immediate way to get kind of a really clear picture of what I’m working with.”

Ms. Coster, 28, who lives in Brooklyn and has a background in improv, said she first pitched the idea for the series in December to Adam Faze, who owns the production company Gymnasium. Mr. Faze was interested in the concept, so they tested it out by showing up without warning at the apartments of male friends to take a look.

Ms. Coster and Mr. Faze seem to have struck gold in the piles of dirty laundry. Within less than a month of the first video’s posting — there are half a dozen so far — the series has gained over 71,000 followers on TikTok and more than 22,000 on Instagram .

“I don’t want anyone to feel bad or like we’re putting them on the spot,” Ms. Coster said. “I am not trying to ‘gotcha’ anyone. I think it’s only good fun.”

“Boy Room” candidates can be nominated for consideration via email. (Photo attachments are allowed — the more chaotic, the better.) According to Ms. Coster, many would-be tour guides have reached out to her directly in her Instagram DMs.

@boy.room Chris, 27, Boerum Hill, NY Welcome to Boy Room, the show where we investigate boys rooms. On today’s episode, Rachel Coster goes over to Boerum Hill to the childlike room of a 27 year old that looks like he robbed a Barnes and Noble. #apartmenttour #nyc #messy #boys #boyroom #comedy #funny #hoarders #newyork ♬ original sound - Boy Room

“I’m definitely biased in that I like when it’s nasty,” Ms. Coster said. “It’s just so much more interesting. Like, I think it’s so nice that even the messiest room can show that someone has a lot of passions.”

Christopher Isaacson, 27, has been living in his Boerum Hill apartment in Brooklyn for over a year now. He reached out to Ms. Coster after he saw the first installment of “Boy Room” and thought his apartment would be the perfect participant.

“I think that, like, boys’ rooms as a concept is interesting,” said Mr. Isaacson, who is a full-time comedian. “It’s just very fun to see myself and these other, you know, contestants , for lack of a better word, in their natural habitat.”

Mr. Isaacson’s apartment tour included a large amount of clothes spread across the floor; a dresser filled with gray wigs (for his sketch comedy, he says); and a desk that was given to him by his grandmother.

“I think of the clutter as, like, if you’re crossing a creek,” said Mr. Isaacson, who has since cleaned his apartment in response to some of the comments. “There are sort of steppingstones that you use to avoid the water. And I think in a good messy boy’s room, there are steppingstones of floor.”

Mindful of the potential for hypocrisy, Ms. Coster shared that she could be a bit sloppy in her own personal space.

“Everybody knows somebody who’s got a Boy Room, and it doesn’t mean you love them any less, or maybe that’s also you,” she said. “We’re all kind of united in that way.”

The Rise of TikTok

News and Analysis

Court records, mistakenly made public, reveal a complex origin story for ByteDance , the Chinese owner of TikTok, and the role played by the firm of Republican megadonor Jeff Yass .

The House made another push to force through legislation that would require the sale of TikTok by its Chinese owner or ban the app in the United States by packaging the measure with aid to Ukraine and Israel .

By targeting TikTok, the United States may undermine its decades-long efforts to promote an open internet , and digital rights advocates are worried that other countries could follow suit.

“Being labeled a “yapper” on TikTok isn’t necessarily a compliment, but on a platform built on talk, it isn’t an insult either .

“Who TF Did I Marry?!?,” the TikTok user Reesa Teesa’s account of her relationship with her ex-husband, is a story for grown-ups  in their midlife crisis era.

Return fraud is a rampant problem  for both shoppers and retailers — and the mishaps often make for viral videos on TikTok.

Our Professional Writers Are Our Pride

EssayService boasts its wide writer catalog. Our writers have various fields of study, starting with physics and ending with history. Therefore we are able to tackle a wide range of assignments coming our way, starting with the short ones such as reviews and ending with challenging tasks such as thesis papers. If you want real professionals some of which are current university professors to write your essays at an adequate price, you've come to the right place! Hiring essay writers online as a newcomer might not be the easiest thing to do. Being cautious here is important, as you don't want to end up paying money to someone who is hiring people with poor knowledge from third-world countries. You get low-quality work, company owners become financial moguls, and those working for such an essay writing service are practically enduring intellectual slavery. Our writing service, on the other hand, gives you a chance to work with a professional paper writer. We employ only native English speakers. But having good English isn't the only skill needed to ace papers, right? Therefore we require each and every paper writer to have a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D., along with 3+ years of experience in academic writing. If the paper writer ticks these boxes, they get mock tasks, and only with their perfect completion do they proceed to the interview process.
